When Goodell says, “we [the NFL) are not part of selecting the clinicians,” that is simply not true. The #NFL plays a significant role in selecting and even vetoing the choice of clinicians. See e.g., Sect. 5.7(a)(i) of the Settlement Agreement nflconcussionsettlement.com/…
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell suggests NFL could "work with the court" to consider whether "changes" to its protocols are necessary in response to questions about an @ABC investigation into alleged racial bias in the league's concussion settlement program abcn.ws/3jk3JXF

“it’s important for courts to help protect litigants from suffering financial harm as a result of their opponents’ litigation misconduct. And…this ruling will create some incentive for Facebook and Gibson Dunn (and perhaps even others) to behave more honorably moving forward”
A federal judge has ordered Facebook and Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher to pay a sanction of $925,000 for an “unusually egregious and persistent” effort to use “delay, misdirection and frivolous arguments to make litigation unfairly difficult.” ow.ly/lbv550MQP2G #BigLaw

We've grown accustomed to unsettling headlines about NFL players dying too soon. How, though, are their peers affected by that grim news? Some, understandably, fret. Others seek to help one another navigate the resultant grief and worry. Latest for @SInow si.com/nfl/2023/01/31/nfl-fe…

As we are reminded about the devastating and life-altering effects the #NFL has on its players and families, here is an update on the NFL Concussion Settlement. The NFL has “paid” nearly a $Billion in awards. While it is often a challenge to obtain an award, it is worth the fight

DeVante Parker shows clear "no-go" signs after a head hit. Everyone (spotter, coaches, refs) pretends they didn't see it- EXCEPT teammate Nelson Agholor, who tries to stop the next play. Teammate of the Year!
Jury deliberations start today. This is an extremely challenging case for a plaintiff, both factually and legally. If the jury finds in favor of Gee’s family, this will show a jury is willing to look past tough facts &still hold the NCAA accountable. The stakes couldn’t be higher

Dear @NFL,
You must do better. This is bigger than protocols. A concussion can change a life. For me, it’s personal. We can’t let any other children grow up without their fathers.
