Had a great #Scilly week with @PaulDMasters. A final ride out on the Scillonian III, flew back. Top rares incl Isabelline Shrike, my #BirdoftheWeek, Red-eyed Vireo, Sora, Wilson's Snipe, Surf Scoter & Pectoral Sandpiper. Often hard going with a lack of list padders but good fun.

Very tough 2nd day on #Scilly with @PaulDMasters despite constant rain & wind we were out dawn to dusk unlike many lightweights hiding in their flats. 😉 Trip ticks only today, dipped Rosy Starling again, best of the day Hobby, Kingfisher & Med Gull. Ended with the Sora again.
A lovely Buff-breasted Sandpiper at Davidstow Airfield this afternoon, with @GlosterBirder

If you are going to #Scilly this autumn please note there are ongoing overnight closures on the M5 (variable) and several miles of the A30 rerouting through villages. It took some people 7 hours Glos-Penzance 😱 Please check so you don’t miss the boat/plane.
