v1.0 is out now! 🙌
It took more than a decade, TypeORM was considered dead by many over the past years...
But since late 2024 a group of dedicated maintainers was working hard and finally shipped what so many developers were waiting for: the first officially stable version!

Here it is.
A page and a short video breaking down the State of JS 2025 backend pain points and how AdonisJS addresses them.

Just wrapped v7 and finally looked at the State of JS 2025 backend pain points.
It's wild, AdonisJS addresses most of them. And I think I know the problem isn't tooling. It's that nothing was designed to work together.
Cohesion > more packages
Got a fun idea on how to convey this. Lemme work on it and report back.

A trend…
Use ORM, write terrible DAO layers, face problems, blame ORM.
Use Java, create bad abstractions, face problems, blame Java.
Use k8s, write complex configurations, face problems, blame k8s.
Use Postgres, design suboptimal table structure, face problems, blame Postgres.
Use Docker, create bloated images, face problems, blame Docker.
Basically blame technology, hide skill issues and move on.
Thanks to @adonisframework I process ~5 million requests par week. This is 700k requests per day.
We process around 700k requests every month with @adonisframework — having a framework like this in the JavaScript world after Rails is just incredible.
The goal: 100 million.
Hot off the press: just landed another optimization.

We need a certification for developers.
The amount of shitty code I review daily written by developers heavily using AI is getting crazier everyday.
