Exactly right and what a blessing for Ms Rantzen and her family that this is so.
Esther Rantzen is living proof of this. Since she announced her Stage IV cancer in May 2023, she has outlived two premierships, Catherine O'Hara, Matthew Perry, and Dolly Parton. Amd she is thankfully still with us. #assistedsuicide
On the 33rd anniversary of Stephen's death, City Hall celebrated the work of the Design Advisory Group of diverse young people aged 16-25yrs whose architectural design ideas will be considered for
the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre Redevelopment
The Sports Centre is used by the community in the five neighbouring boroughs, Croydon, Bromley, Lambeth, Southwark & Lewisham.
Stephen, an aspiring architect, would be so proud 🙏🏽💕

Congratulations to @StJohnsSE19
Your work with refugees, the joy of Messy Church for children, the concerts & the Thursday group offering free meals all make a real impact.
Today’s Christmas Market is another great example of your community spirit.
Thank You!
Attended Windrush Square to pay tribute to the brave men & women from the African, Caribbean & Asian communities who served alongside their allies, with courage & dignity. We remember their sacrifice, we honour their legacy, we say Thank You.

Today I laid a wreath at the Cenotaph in Crystal Palace alongside fellow Councillors, local Police, community leaders and our young people. We came together to remember those who gave their lives for our freedoms. We honour them.

It's 15 years today that Olaseni Lewis was 'taken' from us. share.google/B8Be7LebzdwjNR7…
His Mother Aji, family members & supporters fought for change so that his legacy will live on through Seni'sLaw.

Brilliant to see @AngelaDavis_ who said "I am no longer accepting the things I cannot change. I am changing the things I cannot accept" & @stormzy who continues to call for racial equality & justice, receive their honorary degrees from Cambridge University👏🏽
Congratulations 🎉👏🏽
@Brenda_Dacres
Thank you Jacqui for your kind words honouring #SirGeoffPalmerOBE Scotland's first black professor, an intellectual giant, described as a "father figure" and a "courageous voice for justice and equality"

A great Waddington Way & Downsview Church 'Big Lunch' Street Party with our local community, SNT & the Civic Mayor of Croydon. Plenty of food, drink, activities for the children & the band was great! Thank you to the Waddington Way Residents Association🙏🏽

Sending my thoughts & prayers to the family of the young woman tragically murdered. How effective is the MET's VAWG strategy tackling these threats to women & girls? More early prevention with men & boys needs to be rolled out now bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cpqe…
We are listening to parents & children's voices as their safety is paramount. The lollipop patrols at several schools including Cypress Infants & Juniors in Upper Norwood is under threat of being cut. Say NO - Please sign the petition: actionnetwork.org/forms/dont…
Mayor Perry wants to cut our lollipop patrols. These dedicated staff keep our children safe every day, and they deserve our support.

Much has been written about Pope Francis' life. He inspired so many around the world to do better, to be better - we must be brave to stand up for what's right despite all obstacles. At the Requiem Mass at Westminster Cathedral I gave thanks for his life 🙏🏽
I join with Catholics all over the world in praying for the soul of #PopeFrancis RIEP 💔
