He had fled the country in 2020 while under investigation by police looking into Kirklees sex offences in the late 1990s.
He was probably coming back off holiday from the country he claimed asylum from.
This would be the same group that included Zafar Qayum who picked up a 13 year old on her way to school, raped her, blinded her with acid and invited a couple of dozen other around to have a go.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced the removal of Erick Eduardo Vega Munoz, a Salvadoran national suspected of being a member of MS-13 who had a 2012 removal order.
According to ICE, his U.S. criminal history includes convictions involving a terroristic threat, displaying a weapon, driving under the influence, trespassing, obstruction and illegal entry.

UC San Diego PhD student told police that she had the urge to murder children after beating her friend's newborn baby to death.
Nicole Virzi has pleaded guilty to murdering her friend's 6-week-old baby and injuring his twin brother.
Virzi, 32, was babysitting her friend's baby boy in their Pittsburgh home while the parents took the twin to the hospital due to injuries to his genitals.
It was later discovered that the injured twin had been harmed by Virzi.
"So when I was alone with Leon, I shook him a couple times, hard. And I dropped him a couple times, hard," she admitted during a 13-hour interrogation.
She said she flipped the baby upside down on the bathroom floor.
"Something just came over me. I couldn’t control it. I’m telling you this because I can’t keep lying about it."
"From a very, very young age, I don’t know what it is, but I always had this urge, almost like a compulsion I can’t control, to hurt kids," she told police.
The baby suffered a skull fracture and later died.
Virzi will spend 35 to 80 years behind bars.
