The people of Israel are praying for Captain Smit Machchhar, the brave Indian pilot who fought off the hijacker even after being stabbed and opened the cockpit door to let the Israelis in to help save the plane.

Captain Smit Machchhar, the Indian captain of flydubai Flight 1073, fought back after being stabbed in the cockpit.
Together, their extraordinary courage saved 174 lives.

This video of the flight from Dubai plunging as the co-pilot appears to have tried to crash it is chilling. There were 174 passengers headed to Tel Aviv including 27 children. You can hear the kids scream. Thank goodness for the heroes on board.
