Apple's iPhone 18 Pro is a very solid smartphone, but it's just not that much of an upgrade over the iPhone 17 Pro unless you're really into photography. I'm still a big fan of the overall design, though. My @xdadevelopers review is live. xda-developers.com/iphone-18…
This is the first Gemini Android Auto update that actually makes sense. It probably should have been available since Personal Intelligence's launch. xda-developers.com/gemini-mo… -
As far as older 3D Zelda games go, The Wind Waker has aged remarkably well, especially in terms of visuals. Thanks to a recently released port of the HD Wii U version that supports 60fps and HDR, it looks even better. xda-developers.com/the-zelda…
I’m not really surprised most of IGN’s podcasts are ditching the weekly format. It’s so hard for a podcast to make money, especially at that scale. I’m very bummed because I listen to Unlocked and NVC every week. kotaku.com/as-ign-retreats-f…
It took me hours, but I've finally gotten the Zelda: Link's Awakening PC port to recompile (LASRecomp). I was a bit over my head with this one, but I learned a lot about a newer Switch emulator called Eden, as well as Ryujinx, the one Nintendo took down a few years ago.
I keep thinking about the Wendy's Emo album and how good it is. "The Best Combo Meal on the Worst Night of my Life" is a near-perfect track that's downright hilarious. Don't get me started on how "Salt in my Wound" takes shots at McDonald's while parodying Christian music.
I don't really have any interest in playing the Pokémon: Let's Go games again personally, but both titles just got an unofficial PC port that's built on the Link's Awakening PC port's foundation. xda-developers.com/pokemon-l…
I remember trying to zoom in on this plaque as a kid.
Someone has used computational analysis to figure out what Mario 64’s infamous plaque says, and it’s not ‘L is Real 2401’.

You Can See Everything is nuts. It’s as good as people are saying and so much more. The latter half of the documentary is some of the wildest stuff I’ve ever seen. The dude from This Hour has 22 Minutes nailed it.
This Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom M4 Mac port is pretty impressive. I bet we'll see a lot of AI-assisted Switch game ports to the Mac over the next few weeks. xda-developers.com/mac-gets-…
For the past few weeks, I've been using Asus' Googlebook 14. I really like the laptop's overall look and feel, but Googlebook OS has clear shortcomings that make me wonder why anyone would buy a Googlebook over a MacBook or Windows laptop right now. xda-developers.com/after-wee…
I know there's a lot of retro game recompilation AI slop floating around, but ZeldaWWHDRecomp is a pretty solid AI-assisted static recompilation of The Wind Waker HD. It runs at a mostly solid 60fps on the ROG Ally X20 (there's occasional lag when you enter a big new area).
I will 100% try this N64 Halo: CE port, but at the same time, I also think we've taken this whole old-school game AI port thing a bit too far. xda-developers.com/someone-a…
Uh oh.
Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim’s You Can See Everything now has a Metascore of [*99*]. See it in select cities today.

“Not only the greatest movie of the year, but also the most essential.” - Barry Hertz, Globe & Mail
Now that I’ve written for a few sites over my career, sometimes I’ll be scrolling Reddit, Google Discover, or just social media in general, and I’ll see a familiar looking photo. When I look closer, I realize it’s something I shot nearly a decade ago.
The ROG Xbox Ally X20 feels like the Xbox Ally X 1.5. Asus addresses the Xbox Ally X's key issues with a 7.4-inch OLED and a more ergonomic design. Unfortunately, it still uses the same Ryzen Z2 Extreme chip. xda-developers.com/asus-rog-…
