We have introduced an electronic referral system in Leeds @patient_pass it allows asynchronous discussion. Neurosurgery allows them to take referrals while in theatre. Neurology allows a bleep free night for non-emergency referrals to triage next day

Plans have been approved for a £67 million NHS major trauma centre - including a helipad - at Salford Royal. It'll accept the majority of adults with life threatening injuries from across Greater Manchester. As things stand, the air ambulance has to land in a local field.
