It is a slogan. It is something European leaders say at press conferences. It is not something they defend when the bombs are falling. Ten thousand children who were pulled from the rubble with arms and legs crushed beyond saving. Ten thousand children who were carried to hospitals that had no electricity, no anesthesia, no surgeons, no antibiotics. Ten thousand children who were told: this will hurt. And then the doctors cut. Every major hospital in Gaza has been bombed, raided, or destroyed. The doctors who remain are working without equipment. ◾The medicine is blocked. The blockade prevents the entry of anesthesia, painkillers, antibiotics, surgical instruments, and prosthetics. The doctors have to decide who gets the little they have. ◾The electricity is cut. The generators have no fuel. The operating rooms are dark. The doctors work by phone light. ◾The water is cut. The sterilization is impossible. The wounds get infected. The infections spread. The limbs have to be cut to save the lives. ◾The doctors are killed. More than 1,000 healthcare workers have been killed in Gaza. Who Is Responsible Israel is responsible. It is dropping the bombs. It is destroying the hospitals. It is blocking the medicine. It is imposing the siege. It is committing the genocide. The United States is responsible. It is providing the bombs. It is providing the targeting intelligence. It is providing the diplomatic cover. It is vetoing the ceasefires. It is arming the genocide. Europe is responsible. It is providing the components for the F-35s. It is providing the funding. It is providing the silence. It is providing the political cover. It is refusing to sanction Israel. It is refusing to enforce the ICC warrant. It is refusing to recognize Palestine. It is refusing to act. The Arab regimes are responsible. They are hosting US bases. They are normalizing relations with Israel. They are blocking the Rafah crossing. They are helping the siege. They are preventing the refugees from fleeing. They are helping the bombs. They are helping the blockade. They are helping the genocide. The United Nations is responsible. It is paralyzed by the veto. It is issuing statements. It is calling for restraint. It is calling for ceasefires. It is calling for humanitarian corridors. It is calling for international law. And the bombs keep falling. And the children keep dying. And the amputations keep happening. And the world is responsible. The world is watching. The world is scrolling. The world is sharing. The world is liking. The world is commenting.
