The only new stuff in this Nintendo direct that mattered was Metroid and Kirby. And both of those have had plenty of switch presence. Where’s 3D Mario?!? It’s been like a decade! wtf!

Bro if PlayStation wanted to take your games away, they could do it with physical games too. Never once has PlayStation taken away your access to a game, digital or physical.

$1000 consoles aren’t their fault. Blame AI for that. Same for subscriptions, all those data centers for online play need maintenance and that gets more expensive as AI needs rise. Games are getting bigger and bigger, so yes prices will rise. Gaming has outgrown disks.

As someone who collects 4K blu rays, this is fine. Movies and tv shows make sense physically because streaming quality can vary and disks don’t need to be downloaded to play. Gaming is different. You can’t pop a disk in and play it like a movie and the quality doesn’t change.

Anyone upset with this is just clinging to the past. Games have outgrown disks. 4K blu rays (which are expensive to mass produce) only hold 100gb in their biggest form. GTA 6 can easily be over 200gb. COD is over 150GB. Disks can’t keep up especially with the costs going up.

We all saw this coming a mile away so don’t act surprised. Be outraged all you want but games have simply outgrown the disk format. They can’t hold enough storage for modern games and they can’t even run off the disk since the ps4 days.

I thought by now MKW would’ve gotten substantial FREE DLC to justify its $80 price tag. We all know GTA 6 is going to be worth it. It’s the most expensive single piece of media in history. I’m getting the deluxe edition for $85 thanks to Costco.

GTA 6 will be well worth $100 and I was going to get it digitally anyway. It won’t even fit on a disk. This fake outrage is just for clicks, nothing new for the internet. Everyone complaining will still get it day 1. Watch preorders crash the ps store tomorrow.

Mind you, this game released today but not onto the eshop until 10am pst, which is 2pm on the east cost. That means stores opened around 8am and people were able to buy an unannounced game that they couldn’t even play until 2pm. Absolutely crazy 🤪

I get the price of the steam machine isn’t valves fault per se, but it is too expensive for what you’re getting. I would buy it day 1 if it was $600 like I thought it would be. $800 with at least 1tb of storage and a controller would also be fine. But $1050 is way too much.
