Such a generous donation - thank you!

Huge thanks to Mark ⁦@coopuk⁩ (Patcham) & Jak ⁦⁦@coopuk⁩ (Ditching Road) for their generous donations for the school’s PTA. We are currently raising money to redevelop our Reception outdoor spaces. Goal 4: Nurturing, stimulating and enabling environments 🌲 👧 🌞

We have been developing our green fingers at FS this week. As well as weeding, planting and preparing the greenhouse, we have been potting seedlings and rooted cuttings. We will be taking good care of our plant babies, growing them on, ready for our sale at the summer fayre 🌞

Fabulous end of the week - have a great weekend! 🥳

Thank you to everyone who was able to attend our ‘Chip In’ Saturday. We couldn’t be more proud of our school community! Our outdoor spaces are looking absolutely fabulous. Forest School, greenhouse, growing beds, composting bins, wildlife meadow, all good to go.

This morning the Primary Headteachers of Brighton & Hove sent the SoS for Education, @GillianKeegan @educationgovuk an open letter about the funding crisis in @BrightonHoveCC schools - a crisis we know is nationwide. #SaveOurSchools @tes @BBCNews @Channel4News @bbceducation

Amazing performance from @PatchamInfants and schools across the city at last night’s Dance at the Dome. Such an amazing opportunity for our young people. 💃 🕺

Dreaming of warmer days in spring @ForestSchool After having a go at building our own nests we have a new appreciation for how clever birds are to weave their own, using just their beak! Spot the greenfinch, robin, blackbird and blue tit, all sitting on their clutch of eggs 🪺

Shrove Tuesday in #forestschool

I wonder what Year One have got in store after the holidays?

Guess what our Reception children will be learning about next term!

Our brains are buzzing at the PTA quiz night!

We are excited to see what happens overnight to our containers of water and nature treasures that we collected from around our wonderful outdoor spaces. Tonight’s forecast is below freezing temperatures, this may result in something rather beautiful tomorrow! #forestschool

Ladybirds learned about the importance of looking after our feathered friends, especially during this cold snap. We made bird feeders to hang on the trees and left water out for the birds to drink. #forestschool #enrichment
