261022 Jaemin’s Rabbit and Cat radio📻 🌱: Autumn is the travel season in Japan. One place I’d love to visit is Osorezan in Aomori. I used to associate it with being scary, but there’s actually a very beautiful lake there. Another place I’d like to visit is Tokyo Disney Resort during Halloween! At this time of year, you can go to the park dressed up as Disney characters, so I’d love to try cosplaying as Elsa from Frozen. 🌱: Jaemin, is there anywhere you’d like to visit on an autumn trip? 🐰: That’s true! I’d love to do both, but I think I’d especially like to go momijigari (viewing the autumn leaves) in Japan. The colors of the leaves are beautiful, and I love the overall atmosphere ofthe season. Autumn is actually my favorite season! Recommended places tovisit this autumn in Japan 1. Hokkaido Autumn flavors are at their peak, from seafoodlike salmon and salmon roe to vegetables like potatoes and pumpkins. The affordable, deliciousconveyor-belt sushi and sweets are also outstanding. 2. Hokuriku It’ll soon be snow crab season in Echizen! Other popular seafood includes nodoguro (black throat seaperch), kanburi (winter yellowtail), and white shrimp. 3. Nagoya Enjoy Nagoya’s local specialties while exploringthe city, such as hitsumabushi (grilled eel overrice), tempura, tenmusu (rice balls filled w shrimp tempura), and sweet-and-savory fried chicken wings. You can also take a trip to GhibliPark! 4. Kyushu It’s the perfect season for delicious local seafood, including fatty mackerel and aori-ika(bigfin reef squid), often called the king of squid. Sashimi made from this squid sounds amazing! 🐰: Oh, sashimi made from squid sounds delicious! I really love seafood. It’s one of my absolute favorite foods. 261022 Jaemin’s Rabbit and Cat radio📻 🌱: I have a question for Jaemin, who’s good at cooking. Since the beginning of this year, I’ve been making a bento lunch for my husband everyday, but somehow, I always end up using thesame side dishes. Tamagoyaki, sausages, and karaage (Japanese fried chicken) are my regular staples. For the remaining gaps, I fill them with whatever I have on hand. My husband tells me that this is more than enough, but I’d still like to expand my repertoire a little. 🌱: If you were in my husbands shoes, Jaemin, what kind of side dishes would make you happy to find in your lunch box? I’d love to use your suggestions for future reference. I’ll always support you, Jaemin! I love you so, so much! 🐰: That’s right, isn’t it? It’s all about having a wider variety of dishes. But honestly, what you’re making is already more than enough! If there’s rolled omelet and even karaage in there, that’s plenty. Please trust your husband when he says, “This is more than enough.” 🐰: And the most important thing is that the person making the food can keep doing it without putting too much pressure on themselves. Personally, though, I’d be happy if there were some of those little Korean meatballs in my lunchbox! And even with your usual rolled omelet, just adding carrots or green onions could give it a slightly different feel, don’t you think? Try experimenting little by little, starting with small changes.
