Greg Tufaro hired me 29 years ago, when I was still in college, and that changed the course of my life. He opened doors, pushed me forward and supported me always. But Greg was more than a mentor - he was someone who genuinely cared about people. I owe him more than I could ever put into a tweet. And I wish I could tell him that one more time. Thank you for believing in me, Greg. I’ll carry that with me always. Rest easy, my friend. nj.com/sports/2026/08/longti…

The scene at full time. Fathers hugging sons, Germans high-fiving Ecuadorians, tears flowing, flags waiving, drops of beer flying. FaceTimes with those who couldn’t come, thoughts of those who are no longer here to witness. Impossible to not get emotional around this.
