Seeing this all day when I instinctively tap on Twitterrific is heartbreaking. Pouring one out for my friends at @Iconfactory who pourted their soul into that app over the years. 9 years ago this month we shipped out all those wonderful little Ollie figures to fans.

Apparently I co-run a company that’s been making passing comments into products that tens-of-thousands-of-people buy since 1999.

Perhaps tonight is the night I stop holding up my phone to my wife’s face and saying “look at this tweet.”

Portland, if you go outside right now and look up to the south east, you can actually see Mars with your naked eyes.

I don’t know how else to mourn except to write, so I did that. My heart is with @lowtheband today and everyone as moved and touch by them over the years as I've been. Thank you so much Mimi for all the gifts you have given us all over the last 30 years. allcountingonyou.com/mimi-pa…

The shoemobile has, since I was a child, appeared to have a giant hooked knife coming out of the toe. I know now, as an adult, it’s just the curb, but as a boy I thought it was the most badass vehicle in the Scarryverse.

The number of gen-x Olympia punks and 90s-2000s Portland hipsters (I consider myself a little of both) who now also own Kubota BX sub-compact tractors is more than I ever would have guessed even as late as 2008.
