What is also great about this is there is people who got the invite to play in the only competitive tournament of the year who haven’t played the game in months that are taking spots from people who have played this game like their life depends on it no matter how bad the quality of the game has been. Keep doing great things SDS.

Just wanted to share my thoughts about the current situation. I wouldn’t mind this being an invite only tournament for some of the known top people who have had recent success, but you can’t do that and have that be the only tournament you host. There is already an extreme lack of prize money for mlbts esports, and i don’t know any other game that you aren’t able to compete in tournaments for money for free. Me, @PopularJojo, and @Tykkai_ are arguably 3 of the top 5-10 players in the world and are being left out because they haven’t been old enough to play in any circuits, and i’ve only been able to play in 1. I’ve put a lot of effort into the game and also just spent 600 dollars on a new monitor as an investment that i’d hopefully make back playing in tournaments like these and now it seems like i have 0 opportunity to make anything this year, my first year being a really good player. If you guys want the top young talent to compete and future young talent this is probably the worst thing you could do to motivate people to keep playing, and you should seriously consider everyone for tournaments, not just the people who’ve had past success. I just don’t understand how you can leave 3 or more players out who would be some of the top favorites to win the entire thing over. @MLBTheShow @SonySanDiego

I hate being negative because that’s not who I am as a creator, but I need to rant for a second about the current state of MLB The Show
I truthfully believe MLB The Show 26 has a chance to be one of the worst games in franchise history if things are not changed
- No new online game modes
- Same game modes without change for YEARS, ranked/events/BR are completely stale
- Lack of quality rewards for online play, no true reason to get good at the game for top tier rewads
- Best way to earn is constant mini seasons on ROOKIE, awesome for NMS/casual players, but shouldn’t be the best way to earn
- “PCI Shrinkage taken out of the game when hitting”, not true at all
- Josh Hader glitched for two years, no fix
- Dread lag still an issue for YEARS
- Bots have taken over ranked with no fix
- Cheaters ruin gaming experience for online players of all levels, manipulating scores/cheating system plays the game for them
- Perfect umpires online are indeed NOT perfect
- P2P connection PUNISHES the person with better internet
- Disconnects/people getting booted from games for no reason
- Investing in cards completely nuked
- UI/Menu Screens slower than ever
- STILL can’t see ranked record of yourself or opponents
- Servers feel rough every other day
I’m sure I’ve missed some things, but these issues affect people on a daily basis playing this game
I’m also not the one to play any RTTS or Franchise so I really can’t speak on the state of those game modes
I think the content of this game has been solid, but when there are so many other glaring issues the game has, it doesn’t matter
I truly want MLB The Show to be the best sports gaming franchise of them all, not just as a creator, but as a baseball fan and someone who genuinely enjoys playing the game
I don’t know what it will take for MLB The Show to take the necessary steps to become better, but I hope that time is sooner rather than later

I'm so fucking grateful for the start to the year that I've had content wise that I've done everything in my power not to be overly negative on streams, videos, and social media but I've honestly seen enough.
This is the most pathetic start to a year I've seen since purchasing MLB The Show and that includes MLB 18. Every second somebody is being disconnected from games, records aren't working, the servers suck and the gameplay is some of the worst I've ever seen. The bloop hits are constant and atrocious which has made pitching an intolerable experience. Exit velocities are the most inconsistent they've ever been. They made no remarks about changing anything with the hitting engine yet it's felt like everything has gotten worse. Not only that, but fielding is almost unplayable. It doesn't matter if it's a diamond or gold fielder, they just hate to play baseball. Runners take 93 seconds to get out of the box. I've had fun playing because it's utter nonsense and pure chaos. It's impossible to take serious.
The improvements I have seen are:
1. PCI blur is awesome
2. PCI sensitivity is awesome
3. Created stadiums load / save better than ever and they're actually playing well opposed to every other field.
4. Parallel mods are awesome.
Unfortunately none of this is enough to mask the atrocity that is the gameplay :/
I hope @SonySanDiego & @MLBTheShow are seeing these things and are in the lab all week because there's simply a LOT of work to do.
