In a new paper, we ask “Can rail reduce British aviation emissions?” doi.org/10.1016/j.trd.2024.1… We find that 44% of UK international flights could have a rail alternative now or in the future, but that only covers 14% of emissions.

20 yrs after my 1st paper on microplastics, the science is clear microplastics are now widely distributed across the planet, causing harm & contaminating the food we eat the water we drink & the air we breathe. It’s time to change the way we design use and dispose of plastics!
