I also want to add, that Kaylub is horrified (to say the least) about the position he was placed in yesterday. Please respect his privacy and, most importantly, DO NOT use his story as a way to insert your narratives. Kaylub's biggest desire is that change comes from this and our children have a future where they don't have to fear going to school!

as many of you know, Kaylub Giamanco is the parent who was able to stop yesterday's shooter at Silver Rail Elementary in Bend, Oregon. He will face unthinkable mental anguish from what he had to do in order to save lives. Please consider donating and sharing this link to support him:

ON THIS DAY, 1968 | NOBODY TOLD HER: WYOMIA TYUS 🏃♀️
Quick: who was the first person ever to win back-to-back Olympic 100m titles?
Not Carl Lewis. Not Usain Bolt.
It was Wyomia Tyus, in Mexico City, in a world-record time. 🧵👇

In 1988, she became the first African American to make the U.S. national women's gymnastics team. In 1996, at just 19, she became an Olympic champion.
A thread of her firsts 🧵👇
