.@esa's David Evans, Advanced Operations & OPS-SAT Space Lab Manager, talks about the OPS-SAT mission. More here 👉esa.int/Enabling_Support/Ope… #scylight2024 #scylight
"We're working on OPS-SAT VOLT, an ESA-Space Lab partnership for quantum-classical optical communications," said Evans #scylight2024 #scylight
Last presentation of the day - @viasat provide an overview of their recent work: "We have a global fleet of 19 satellites, including those in the Ka-band and L-band." #scylight2024 #scylight
"An optical relay is capable of a bi-directional ground to space to ground relay," explains Viasat #scylight2024 #scylight
"We are also collaborating with industry partners to create a scalable optical intersatellite link terminal to provide reliable, high-speed connectivity," said Viasat #scylight2024 #scylight
Claudia De Lazzari, of QTI, has now taken to the stage to talk about her team's work on a Quantum Key Distribution link #scylight2024 #scylight
"Our experiment achieved a result that was comparable with state-of-the-art results," said De Lazzari #scylight2024 #scylight
"The encoding was at mid-infrared wavelengths," said De Lazzari #scylight2024 #scylight
