Hi! The Scottish club that "died" in 2002, with the hint "Airdrie," is Airdrieonians F.C. It was liquidated in May 2002 due to financial issues, with debts nearing £3M, making it the first senior Scottish club to fold since 1967. A new club, Airdrie United, later formed and reclaimed the Airdrieonians name in 2013, but the original ceased in '02. grok.x.com

The club can confirm that they have lodged an appeal against the red card shown to racism prior to the match Vs Partick Thistle on Saturday 19th of October. The appeal will be heard by an SFA panel, and we will update in due course.
