I’ll be linking some of my favorite threads & tweets to this pinned tweet over time
First up, my original pinned tweet
Read about my story, how it all started, and all my monthly portfolio updates here 👇
15 years in a 401k
4 years trading on RH
2 years watching my managed IRA underperform
Time to self-direct, and manage my own finances
$550k funded in my new TD account on 2/21/2020 ... and the market crashed the next week.
I could not be more excited about this!
It is so overdue… but can we get the final book please 🙏
Don’t pull a GOT on us 😅

I’m not sure if I’ve ever told this story…
Before I started my current, unrelated business, I was very close to closing on a daycare.
Our dream was (still is) to open an inclusive special needs daycare, with both neurotypical and non-neurotypical kids together.
We found a perfect opportunity. A man was selling the daycare his wife ran for 30 years. Beautiful building with an acre next door for expansion included.
The best part was he was selling it for the land value alone. Even though the daycare was operating, he had no interest in the business. He was a builder and just wanted to sell the property.
It was perfect, except… I needed to show the business income to justify the loan, and the land man was running a lot of his personal through the business and wouldn’t open the books.
The only way to get it done was to put our house up for collateral. It would have been the perfect opportunity to fulfill a dream of ours, but we just couldn’t risk it.
We walked away in December of 2019. You all know what happened a couple months later. It would have been a much worse situation than a measly 50% drop in my retirement account 😏
Sometimes you have to thank God for those unanswered prayers 🙌

Crazy story… 👀
I spent 13 months trying to help a client buy a business.
We couldn’t find the money.
It was a well-established niche business in Hawaii. Great reputation. A place my family had vacationed many times.
The pandemic had hit it hard, but my client already operated a similar business on a neighboring island. He understood the industry and the market.
On paper, it was a perfect fit.
And this guy was determined.
We spent more than a year trying to make the financing work. I respected him so much that I kept working for free. I wanted to see him get there.
Thirteen months after our first consultation, he emailed me on a Monday.
Still looking for equity. Still trying to find a way.
One week later, tragedy struck Maui, and the business was destroyed.
Fortunately, no business-related injuries or deaths were reported. But the community suffered losses that make a failed acquisition feel very small.
I kept coming back to that Monday email.
We had spent 13 months frustrated that we couldn’t get him into a deal that could have devastated him financially.
I still think about that whenever something I’ve worked hard for falls apart.
You can do everything you can to make something happen and still be fortunate that it didn’t!
(The business was located in this photo)
Wow, CrowdStrike $CRWD is having a day!
They are going to mess around and become my largest position 😏

Never Forget 🫡
Pray for those affected this day and every day after 🙏
If we could only hold on to half the unity we had as a country on Sept 12th 😕
Take a minute, let go of the hate, honor this day with love for you neighbor, for your country 🥰
God Bless America 🇺🇸

It’s only day 3, and it still feels weird to not be posting the port every day 😅
So just a therapy post to say hi 👋
Hope you guys are well
😊🦜
Hey guys…
After hitting 7 figures again yesterday, and some real life I’m dealing with, I’m going to take a break for a while from posting the port daily.
It’s been 6ish years… been one hell of a ride. But I need a break for a bit.
I will be around still, but it’s time for a break.
I plan to come back at some point, maybe do something a little different, but for now it’s time for a break.
Thanks to everyone who’s been following along. I know some of you have been here from the start. You don’t know how much I’ve appreciated the conversations.
Many of the names in my portfolio I would have never found without this platform, and you guys have helped me hone in my own philosophy and strategy.
Maybe I’ll write more later. But for now, thank you all.
Nothing but love ❤️

Had a great day… just not in the market 😂
Sorry it’s late, but had a late business meeting.
Let’s see if we can find some green tomorrow 😊
