I don’t know why, but it just sort of feels right to me. It makes sense in our current state, he’ll want to prove something, not just to our fans but to everyone, I just hope it goes right for him & us now🤞Last season at Goodison, it just feels right. Almost poetic, hopefully!🙏
Disappointed Branthwaite hasn’t had much of a look in across this 3 year long international break, thought he’d get one start at least. Odd, especially as he’s better than the rest imo.
Guehi been poor across all the games, yet seems first choice. Even tonight he’s been poor.
How can someone be this idiotic and disingenuous, and they’re an MP, an actual MP.
She’s literally describing herself regarding divisive and inflammatory language!
14k people have liked it as well. My goodness, what hope have we got🤦🏻♂️
You’ve called me racist this evening- albeit in a contorted way- but in doing so, you’ve lowered the tone of the debate with divisive and inflammatory language.
And absurdly, you’re suggesting that I’m being racist against myself.
It’s because of irresponsible language like yours that we in Reform need security.
The left can keep smearing us as racist for challenging the cosy consensus on mass migration but we will not be bullied into silence.
Perhaps a good reason as to why City’s owners should never have been allowed in the first place.
Yet also possibly the exact reason why they were indeed allowed in the first place! 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️

In the seasons where Man City have been found guilty of breaking Premier League financial rules, no team missed out on European football at their expense more often than Everton 😳

Etihad threatening to sue. UAE reportedly intimating that UK investment could be pulled. A Prime Minister couching any criticisism. If this sorry saga doesn't convince you that state ownership of football clubs should never be allowed, nothing ever will.

“I would be really concerned to lose them.” Prime Minister Andy Burnham on the possibility of Manchester City’s owners selling up. What?! These are owners found guilty of serial breaches of the Premier League rule-book by three judges on an independent commission after a lengthy investigation. Owners who outraged other clubs and countless fans by flouting the rules and inflating sponsorship income with the Disguised Funding Scheme.
Owners who misled auditors and regulators, who threaten to bring this Premier League season – and, potentially, future seasons - to a standstill by their appeal, deny, delay tactics. Owners who are patently not proper custodians of a famous, historic club. Owners who many hope will sell up and ship out after bringing such shame and sham contracts to the game.
So these are astonishing, alarming comments from the PM. “I do actually thank the City Football Group and the wider ownership for the money that they didn't just put into the Etihad and the campus around it but also into the city," Burnham told the BBC’s Chris Mason.
Come on, PM. Read the room. Read the commission’s report. Read the belligerent statements from the Abu Dhabi owners and their chief executive like Ferran Soriano. Rather than thank CFG, perhaps thank the diligence of the Premier League in seeking to enforce its rules and protect the national sport. Perhaps thank the three judges for their pain-staking work in sifting through reams of evidence and coming to their considered conclusion.
Burnham spoke as a politician seemingly with one eye on diplomatic and trade links. He spoke as a former mayor whose city benefited from investment in east Manchester by Abu Dhabi. “They've been such a huge partner in the building of modern Manchester and obviously the building of Manchester City into the global force that it is.” And how was that building financed?
Burnham spoke as a politician and not the football fan that he truly is. The lifelong Evertonian is usually pretty sound on football matters. He misread the mood of many fans not wanting the possible return of drinking in Premier League stands but that was a rare misstep. This is far worse. This makes him look out of touch with the prevailing mood. He was speaking at Hill Dickinson Stadium. Maybe he should head to Anfield on Sunday week and witness the anger felt towards City.
Burnham did add that he wasn’t getting involved in the process and that City had a right to appeal if they felt harshly treated. But how does the PM’s sympathetic words for controversial owners help the independent football regulator charged by Government with leading the fight against those who risk the credibility of their club, who play fast and loose with the rules and who damage the integrity of the national sport?
How frustrating if Burnham’s words embolden City's owners and Soriano further. Bit of an own goal by No 10.

There should be both a triple lock on pensions ( we have some of the worst pensions in Europe for one of Europe's hardest working workforce) and social care spending.
Maybe the PM can start looking at where the money has gone in the last 25 years, who it went to and what it was spent on, alongside the routine and corrupt current practice of denying people social care who are having to sell homes and everything they have despite qualification for said care. Bookmark this because it will be a bigger scandal than Post Office and PPE combined.
We're a rich nation who's people ( out collective fault for voting for people and manifestos that change mid term, something that should be a legally binding document by the way) have worked hard for local and national services, care in old age, and a modest buffer to live on in retirement.
This is neither woke, lefty, righty or middly. It's what people vote for only to be u-turned by all governments.
Norway has 3 trillion in the bank, great pension provision, child care, public services and elderly care. They don't have a magic money tree nor have things like the City of London which should be generating huge revenue privately that also benefits us publicly. They simply hold politicians to account, make sound national decisions and aren't tempted by snake oil salesmen promising the earth but delivering zero to them but plenty to pals.
We do the opposite.

Nine hours later, we just left A&E.
Huge shout out to the NHS.
I will always hate what the Conservatives did to underfund the NHS - and I say that as a former Conservative voter.
And I will hate Labour too if they don't start investing in the NHS properly: more doctors, nurses, staff, capacity.
Over the 9 hours in A&E I watched so many people suffering unnecessarily for such long times. Sorry, but this is not normal, nor should it ever be normal.
Shame on the Conservatives for withdrawing NHS capacity, and shame on Labour for not fixing it, so far: still not hiring enough doctors and nurses.
What's the point of a stonking great majority if you're going to sit on your hands, continue the privatisation of the NHS and fail to deliver a decent service?
Thank you to all of the NHS staff who calmly and professionally went from patient to patient. #SaveOurNHS

The UK has gone mad.
A pint is £6.50
A coffee is £4
Takeaway for one is £25
Petrol is £1.73 a litre. Diesel is £1.97
An hour with a driving instructor is £50
A short taxi is £20
A week’s shop for one is £80
A cheap hotel night is £110
Rent is £1,459 a month as national average.
And this is my personal favourite.
£172 a month for my two kids to get the bus to and from school just fifteen minutes away.
Nothing fancy.
Just the prices.
You work.
They take.

Currys, Domino's ... Companies cracking a joke over Man City. It is funny but also makes you think it is THIS obvious that Everton were treated differently.
Remember the PL recommended a 12 point deduction for one charge
💯this.
It’s absolutely obvious to everyone how very differently Everton were treated.
So much so it’s a running joke for all these companies & every fan of every club.
It’s always the first text I receive when another team does something wrong, how many point to take of us!

The stupidity of this post really is astonishing. What this nonsense from Suella Braverman amounts to is that if, instead of being born and raised in England, she’d been born and raised in France, she wouldn’t be French. Which means she must think Thierry Henry isn’t French. Incredible that someone would so proudly promote such stupidity.
As I’ve said before, I’m not English.
I’m proud to be British. My family and ancestors have a link to Britain which spans centuries.
But in no way are we English. Yes, I was born in England, speak English and support the England football team. And indeed, I love England and the English people.
But to say I’m English is to take a ‘laissez-faire, anything-goes’ attitude to ethnicity, citizenship and identity. It also denies me my Asian heritage. The liberals (many of them in today’s Conservative Party) take this cosmopolitan approach to Englishness. They’re terrified of being called racist so they say that anyone, as long as they’re born here, can be English.
I take the conservative approach. Englishness is an ethnicity. There have been English people for centuries and we need to recognise this more if we are to start taking a more muscular approach to citizenship and nationality. And no, it’s not racist to say this.
Other countries have no qualms in limiting who can be part of their citizenry and use ethnicity and culture as criteria. Here, the dogma of multiculturalism has been so corrosive that some people don’t actually know who we are anymore.
Incredible that someone in politics can talk such nonsense.
Being born in England & being English doesn’t mean you have to forget your heritage.
According to Suella, pretty much nobody has a nationality🤦🏻♂️
Please don’t let people like this have a voice anymore, just stop it.

This is a brilliant watch & insight of a pro footballer.
New country & league, impact of having a 1st child & the mental battle to succeed when you feel it’s not going right.
Full video is a great watch.

Well, they are. Not one Ipswich player appealed for any wrongdoing, there wasn't a flicker from their bench and yet someone 200 miles looking at a monitor has decided there is a breach. If you have any feel for the game, you will see it is absurd.

This is causing some debate ⬇️
Thierno Barry’s second was ruled out because Brennan Johnson was in an offside position. Chris Sutton and Glenn Murray think it's harsh 👎
Actually laughable.
Johnson can stand where he is. He doesn’t go for the ball, doesn’t engage the keeper, just stands there. In fact keeper tries coming for ball he’s getting nowhere near, Johnson actually helps him stop to try & save it but getting nowhere near that either!
#EVEIPS – 58’ VAR OVERTURN
VAR checked the referee’s call of goal to Everton – and determined that Johnson was interfering with an opponent while in an offside position and recommended an on-field review.
REF: “Everton No.22 is in an offside position. He impacts the goalkeeper’s ability to save the ball. My final decision is indirect free-kick”.
