Can one GPU workload serve AI inference and secure a blockchain? Pearl links vLLM matrix multiplication to mining with NoisyGEMM and ZK proofs. Key question: can inference demand, not synthetic work, secure the chain? Our infrastructure analysis: infstones.com/blog/industry_…

Security for onchain markets is end-to-end: trusted data still needs resilient RPC delivery, finality-aware confirmation, and auditable monitoring. Production infrastructure must protect the path from update to settled state. xitter.cf/chainlink/status/21093…
Security is the defining requirement to unlock onchain markets.

The AI buildout is now the biggest investment boom in U.S. history. Financing it will cost $10.3 trillion from 2025 to 2032, an average of 3.63% of U.S. GDP every year, per a new Brookings study. That's bigger relative to the economy than the canal, railroad, electrification, highway and telecom booms.

The financial system does all kinds of gymnastics to get back to the simplicity we once had with cash. When I hand you $100, you have it, and I no longer do. The transaction settles instantly and there's nothing to reconcile. Adding electronic rails gave money global reach. But making cross-border payments feel instant requires trillions in pre-positioned capital sitting idle in bank accounts around the world. And armies of people to track and reconcile it all. Those costs fall hardest on emerging markets, where cross-border payments become more expensive or uneconomic to offer at all. Tokenized money offers a way to restore the simplicity of cash, but at a global scale. Payment and settlement can happen at the same time, without the gymnastics required to create the illusion of cash. It can free up enormous amounts of capital, automate reconciliation, and make more markets economically viable to serve. I wrote about how stablecoins restore the best properties of cash for the @wef. Full article below.

40M+ TPS is a striking demo. For production agent workloads, the key is preserving verifiable settlement when offchain execution fails—through clear finality signals, replay protection, state reconciliation, and end-to-end observability. xitter.cf/SuiNetwork/status/2107…
A world record. 40,614,180 transactions per second. Live at Sui Basecamp, independently analyzed by @CertiK. AI agents paid, played, and chatted in programmable tunnels. Executed offchain, settled on Sui. Sui is ready for the agentic economy. sui.io/blog/sui-sets-record-…

Dropping a podcast with @benfielding, Co-Founder and CEO at @gensynai Ben started his PhD in deep learning in 2015, well before the current wave of attention around AI. In this episode I wanted to walk through how he thinks about the progress we have made, the economics of building bigger models, and what comes next. We get into why he questions whether the money going into centralized AI will be paid back through product usage, how open models affect that business, and why having customers who keep using your product matters more than staying ahead on a benchmark. We also walk through how Gensyn has changed. The team moved from focusing on decentralized compute to collecting truthful information from the world. Ben explains why they made that decision and how Delphi uses markets to bring information together and check it against what actually happens. That leads into forecasting. Ben thinks predicting future events could become a much bigger use of AI. We discuss how models could learn from being right or wrong, why people need a reason to share what they know, and what it would mean to have a probability calculator helping with everyday decisions. We discuss - Ben's background in deep learning and how Gensyn started - The economics of bigger AI models and whether the spending makes sense - Open models, competition, and building products people keep using - Why Gensyn moved away from focusing on compute - Verifying machine learning work and making training auditable with open-1b - Delphi, information markets, and learning from real outcomes - Rewarding people for sharing the evidence behind their predictions - Forecasting, better decisions, and where decentralization helps Timestamps 0:00 – Can AI Predict the Future? 1:14 – Ben Fielding and the Origins of Gensyn 7:26 – Scaling AI Beyond Bigger Clusters 13:29 – Why Startups Can Take a Different Approach 18:49 – Trust and Verifying Machine Learning 23:59 – The Economics of Centralized AI 27:29 – Why Gensyn Moved Away from Compute 31:09 – open-1b and Auditable AI Training 35:47 – Open Models and Closed Labs 43:29 – AI Products, Customers, and Neoclouds 50:13 – From LLMs to Forecasting 53:44 – Training Models to Make Better Predictions 57:10 – Delphi and Information Markets 1:02:26 – Rewarding the Evidence Behind a Prediction 1:04:34 – Where Crypto and AI Actually Overlap 1:11:35 – The Next Wave of AI Enjoy!

Batch payments help agent commerce, but signatures prove authorization—not judgment. Crypto can bound AI autonomy: restrict asset, recipient, amount and expiry; block replay; cap exposure with prefunded channels. That is governance built into payments. xitter.cf/solana/status/21076786…
JUST IN: Batch payments are live for @x402 on Solana via @PayAINetwork and @BlockRunAI An agent opens a payment channel, makes as many payments as it needs, and settles once onchain using x402. xitter.cf/BlockRunAI/status/2107…
