I kid you not, this Saudi woman is trying to get an Egyptian expat worker arrested for posting this! Insane levels of entitlement! This needs to stop!
Why is Israel afraid of Egypt, even though Egypt may not have the most advanced weapons, or weapons on par with those of Saudi Arabia and the UAE, for example?
This is not a call for war. It is an account of the facts and an explanation of how catastrophic a similar war would be for both sides. Here, I will focus on the Israeli side of the equation and explain why such a war would be a disastrous choice for Israel. Quite the opposite, this is a call for peace.
Israel would find it difficult to contemplate going to war with Egypt for the following reasons:
1. Geography
Israel has clear geographical disadvantages, unlike Egypt, which enjoys significant geographical advantages. Israel lacks strategic depth; it is a very small country. The distance from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv is only around 65 km, meaning less than an hour by car. Egypt, by contrast, is a vast country with an area of one million square kilometers. Egypt can absorb the shock of a major war on its territory; Israel cannot do so to the same extent.
2. Egypt could disrupt Israel's military capabilities
Israel's military power relies heavily on its air force and nuclear arsenal. Its air force operates from nine air bases, many of which are located less than 50 km from the Egyptian border, including Hatzor, Nevatim, Ramon, and Ovda. Even the farthest, Ramat David, is only about 270 km away.
This proximity means Egypt could potentially target these bases from relatively safe distances using a combination of air-, sea-, and land-launched munitions, disrupting runways, base infrastructure, and refueling capabilities at the very least, with potentially more serious consequences over time. Some of these bases could even be within artillery range from positions across the border.
3. Egypt could target critical Israeli economic infrastructure
Using the types of munitions in its arsenal, Egypt could potentially target critical economic infrastructure, including seaports, airports, oil refineries, gas fields, and power plants. Precision strikes against these facilities could severely disrupt Israel's economy.
4. The Egyptian navy could impose a Naval blockade on Israel
Egypt possesses a powerful navy that could potentially impose a naval blockade, with Egyptian submarines playing a role in carrying it out.
5. The cost of establishing air superiority over Egypt would be enormous
Egypt is neither Iran nor Syria. It possesses a complex, diverse, and multilayered air defense network, managed by an advanced command-and-control system. Neutralizing a network of this kind would require a major effort, potentially on the scale of what only the world's great military powers could undertake, and at a substantial economic and military cost.
6. The geography of Sinai gives Egypt a defensive advantage
Sinai's passes and narrow corridors constrain an advancing enemy to specific, relatively restricted routes. This gives a well-entrenched defender a significant advantage in stopping an enemy's advance.
Egypt’s Air Force looks terrifying on paper.
Until you look under the hood.
Egypt operates roughly 220 F-16s, 54 Rafales and 45 MiG-29M/M2s across these three major fighter fleets. Egypt ordered 54 Rafales in total, with 46 already delivered. More than 300 fighters is a serious force.
But fighter numbers can be deeply misleading.
The biggest weakness is Egypt’s BVR picture.
Its large F-16 fleet does not have AIM-120 AMRAAM, while its MiG-29Ms use R-77 and R-27 missiles. Egypt’s Rafales are its strongest BVR fighters, particularly with Meteor.
But Israel operates in a completely different air combat ecosystem.
The Israeli Air Force combines F-35I stealth fighters, F-15Is and F-16I Sufas, backed by advanced electronic warfare, airborne early warning, intelligence, data link networking, precision weapons and highly integrated command and control.
And then there is the strike side.
Israel has a powerful stand off strike arsenal, including, Golden Horizon, ROCKS, Rampage, LORA and the air launched LORA, designed to hit high value targets such as airbases, air defense systems, command posts and other military infrastructure from stand off distances.
That gives Israel another major advantage in a potential opening strike.
Israel would not need to fight Egypt’s 311 fighters one by one. It could seek to hit the Egyptian airpower system itself, airbases, command networks, air defenses, communications and other high value targets, potentially destroying aircraft on the ground before they ever enter the fight.
And this is where Egypt’s impressive headline numbers could become far less meaningful.
Could Israel repeat 1967?
Yes, it is a scenario Egypt would have to take extremely seriously.
A future war would obviously be completely different from 1967, and nobody can guarantee the outcome. But the fundamental lesson remains, if Egypt cannot adequately protect its aircraft, bases, sensors and command network, having hundreds of fighters does not guarantee air superiority.
Egypt has the numbers.
Israel has the ecosystem.
And if those two air forces ever went to war, Israel’s combination of air combat superiority, networked warfare and stand off strike capability could give it a frightening opening advantage.

Lula and Bolsonaro Jr. debate ahead of Brazil’s Presidential Election
Bolsonaro Jr: “Lula, can you explain why 73% of prison inmates voted for you?”
Lula: “What I want is for 100% to vote for me, even your father”
The country's president literally said on live public television that any military presence or involvement will only be defensive and that no attacks would be made in Yemen.
You're acting like you uncovered some secret backroom decision lol

Egypt is the strongest Arab country, the most educated Arab country, and the most populous Arab country.
Egypt is not the origin of the Arabs, but it is the backbone of the Arab world; Egypt is the fortress to which the Arabs turn.
The people of Egypt are among the most cultured, the freest, and the most aware; they have a history, a past, and a present.
And the people of Egypt have been the strongest supporters of the Palestinian cause for the past seventy years.
Whoever insults the Egyptian people is ignorant, whoever does not love the Egyptian people is ungrateful, and whoever does not understand the status of the Egyptian people is stupid.
Speak about Sisi however you like, but when you speak about the people of Egypt, speak with respect.

Egypt only sent defensive equipment and personnel. No ground troops were committed to fighting the Houthis in Yemen.
BREAKING: Egypt officially deploys troops to Saudi Arabia to fight Yemen's Houthis, with the National Defense Council approving it, and parliament holding an emergency session this afternoon, per MP Bakry.
It makes Egypt the largest Arab state to commit troops against the Houthis.
Egypt now enters a war against the force controlling Bab el-Mandeb, putting the Suez canal in play.
