🇨🇦 NexGen $NXE says the concrete batch plant has reached the Rook I site in Saskatchewan ahead of schedule. In August its pad was still being cut, per the Q2 site update. With a four-year build that began this summer, this starts to take shape 🏗
The batch plant has arrived at Rook I. This is a critically important asset that will vitally create the concrete for the shaft pads, mill terrace and other key infrastructure. Having it up at site ahead of schedule is the hallmark of how we are developing the Rook I Project successfully. Concrete Plans. Real Progress. $NXE $NXG #RookI #GoodEnergy #Uranium

THE LARGEST BANKS IN THE US HAVE ENTERED THE CORRECTION TERRITORY. JP Morgan: -11% Bank of America: -19% Citigroup: -15% Wells Fargo: -18.5% Goldman Sachs: -24% Morgan Stanley: -19% US Bancorp: -15% Capital One: -25% PNC Financial: -16% BNY Mellon: -14% Even the KBW Nasdaq Bank Index, which tracks the 24 publicly traded U.S. banking stocks, is now down 14% from its August peak. What's even more interesting is that during the 2000, 2008, and 2020 market crashes, the KBW Nasdaq Bank Index peaked 4-8 months before the S&P 500 did. This means if the Bank Index continues to drop even with the S&P 500 hitting new highs, it could be a major warning sign for the US stock market.

POLAND'S FIRST NUCLEAR PLANT WILL NEED OPERATORS. WESTINGHOUSE IS ALREADY HIRING THEIR INSTRUCTORS. THE ROLE · A Senior AP1000 Instructor will help qualify licensed and non-licensed operations staff. · Qualification runs about 18 months, including extended assignments in Madrid. Westinghouse says control room operator training starts about five years before a plant goes online, so instructors have to qualify first. The Madrid stints likely run through the AP1000 academy it opened there in early 2026. How deep is Europe's bench of AP1000 instructors? $CCJ $BEP

BELLEDUNE'S PROPOSED NUCLEAR PILOT HAS ITS REACTOR PICK NEW BRUNSWICK TNPP · Prodigy and two First Nations picked BWXT's 22 MWe BANR, a gas-cooled reactor on HALEU TRISO fuel, for the project. · Two units will be built mainly in Ontario. BWXT holds three seats: reactor vendor, principal fabricator and, via Kinectrics, licensing and supply chain support. One accountable party cuts interface risk on a first-of-a-kind build, but concentrates execution risk too. Is a single-vendor stack how FOAK nuclear gets built? $BWXT

At $BWXT's investor day, CEO Rex Geveden pointed out that between the 1970s and the 1990s the world built about 600 large reactors, and that many are still running today. Nuclear's weakness is well known: building a plant and financing it is enormously expensive. By his numbers, fuel for 1 GW of gas costs about $400M a year. For 1 GW of nuclear, about $60M. He also said gas turbines are getting more expensive, with delivery times of 5 to 6 years. We all know that the huge near-term demand from data centers will be met with natural gas, since it is the fastest way to respond. But in the long run that is unsustainable🧐 His message has a logic to it: nuclear is a high fixed cost, low operating cost asset, and gas is the opposite. For a patient investor the economics tilt toward nuclear, and by his rough estimate, doubling the life of an existing reactor costs about 30 cents on the dollar compared with building a new one. Note: BWXT sells nuclear components, so his thesis is obviously self-interested, but I still find it interesting.

BREAKING: Oil executives warn US diesel prices will not return to normal for more than a year, with almost half of 100 oil and gas companies surveyed by the Dallas Fed now saying it will take more than four quarters to get back to 2025 levels, per the FT. "Diesel is the mother's milk of the economy," one respondent says. "We are just starting to see the impact on the wider economy." Chevron CEO Mike Wirth said two weeks ago that the Great Fuel Crisis executives had warned about has arrived and that the mechanisms mitigating price and supply risk have "largely now played out."

Polyethylene is the world's most produced plastic - shopping bags, milk jugs, cutting boards. It is also one of the hardest to recycle because it requires high temperatures or expensive catalysts to break its carbon chains. On September 21 2026, Oak Ridge National Laboratory published a process using inexpensive aluminium-based molten salts that breaks polyethylene into smaller hydrocarbon molecules at relatively mild temperatures. Output: approximately 60% gasoline-range molecules, with diesel and other products making up the rest. This does not solve plastic waste. But it converts a material with almost no recycling infrastructure into a fuel that can enter existing distribution systems - with no sorting required.

BREAKING: Trump administration prepares 90-day total diesel export ban, with Trump inclined to announce it by the end of the week, per Politico. Energy Secretary Chris Wright called energy CEOs on Tuesday night to tell them a 90-day ban was coming in the coming days, and a number of them immediately called the White House to push back. One oil industry executive who has discussed the ban with senior White House officials says Trump would consider any blowback and consequences "a December problem." An external adviser to the administration says there has been "a bunch of frantic outreach" searching for alternatives and calls the ban "a terrible idea," yet Trump is expecting to proceed anyways. It would be the first US diesel export ban in history, and Europe would be hit hardest as the biggest customer of the world's largest diesel exporter, with Russia, the second largest, already halted. US diesel is at a record $6.53 a gallon.
