Big news as @Starlink may have competition in Europe where the leading telecoms companies @vodafone @Telefonica @orange @deutschetelekom have signalled their intention to bid for the spectrum, this following @Starlink successfully bidding for a complimentary ground spectrum in the USA last week.
What does this mean? It means connecting people is becoming strategically important, and that sovereignty is beginning to become a factor.
Telecoms companies currently connect 8 million people and over 20 million machines. Is satellite an evolution or revolution?
