Right. I managed to get the Mayor of London to budge on access to Wembley a year ago so I'm fucking sure i can make something happen in Birmingham. Large arenas in Birmingham, security companies who can make large events safe, Birmingham Council and local MP'S along with high profile Villans who can sprinkle magic and logistical know how. Please contact me here or email or LinkedIn. The challenge? Making a safe event with the biggest fuck off screen on earth available for 30 thousand kids and families and Villans to watch the Europa League Final live. At cost price only with any spare money to go to Acorns Hospice. Or give your space and time for free with ALL money going to Acorns. If Spurs and Palace can cater for their fans, I fucking know we can.

In a slight defence of Unai Emery after his much debated Villa team on Sunday.. Forest made 8 changes with a lot of players who have rarely played this season, yet still put in a big shift. Villa’s 7 changes were almost all senior internationals. Risky tactic from both managers but the players arguably deserve more attention

Suicide. It's world suicide prevention day and month so I hope you spare this post a little time whether you struggle or not. Suicide is the counter intuitive desire or need to short circuit the most human desire. The desire to live. Many of you struggle and over 15 years of posting here I've posted my suicidal ideation, and brutal truth of wanting, needing to end my life. And I receive emails of your stories wanting the same at times. 2 years ago I had a full breakdown. Train platforms multiple times a day, bridges, thinking 24/7 of ways to make it quick. The most terrifying months of my life. I ran instead. A blessed relief and way out that literally saved my life alongside friends, family and therapy. Wanting to die isn't normal. For anyone. Ever. It is ghe most serious red flag that identifies that person as very ill and in need of urgent and serious help. The NHS is wonderful but the coffers as we know are empty and mental health support is creaking at a time when ur should be providing basic talking therapy, ongoing support and meditation if necessary. So many people are taking their life because of a lack of support which leads to hopelessness. I'm anxious writing this because the earlier darker nights forme are one of a number of profound triggers. It sounds absurd doesn't it but that's the nature of everyone's individual mental health triggers, the can sound absurd to many so you keep quiet and plough on through. Multiply those triggers by 10 and for those who don't struggle it's an idea of the constant triggering that eventually becomes too much. Overwhelming. If you don't struggle you may pass over this post without understanding that your Mum, Dad, Sister, Brother, partner or friend may be going through what I've set out above, and are close to doing something that could change a dozen lives. So I hope that if nothing else, if you believe one of those loved ones may be struggling, and I don't mean feeling blue, I mean fundemental changes you've seen ( men over 50 are chronically bad at speaking up), then please talk to them today. Mental health issues aren't ever cured, they're managed, and life can be as normal as anyone else's even if those issues crop up regularly, but suicidal ideation destroys one life in its entirety but always a domino effect of many others who love or knew that person who took their own life. I'll repeat, thinking about taking your own life is the ultimate in being poorly and needs urgent attention, help and understanding. It's never to be left. To those who struggle, please speak to someone, even one outlet can make a difference and have absolute belief that brighter days will come, because they always do. 740,000 people took their own life on this planet last year. Doesn't sound many until you add the 5, 10, 20 people that then affects for life. If you suspect you're struggling, please reach out and if you know someone who is, please talk to them, you have no idea the impact it makes. #WorldSuicidePreventionDay

Aston Villa can confirm the club has written to the PGMOL to raise concerns over the selection process of match officials following today’s game with Manchester United at Old Trafford. With such high stakes surrounding today’s fixture, the club believe a more experienced referee should have been appointed. Of the 10 referees to officiate across the Premier League today, Mr. Bramall was the 2nd least experienced. The decision to disallow Morgan Rogers' goal, which would have given the club a 1-0 lead with 17 minutes remaining in the match, was a major contributing factor to the club not qualifying for the Champions League. As per the standards that have been established over the course of the season, a decision to whistle early is clearly inconsistent with current refereeing guidelines. VAR exists to ensure that these types of situations receive the scrutiny they deserve. Unfortunately, the technology was not allowed to serve its purpose. Ultimately, we acknowledge that the outcome for us will not change, but we believe that it is important to address the selection methodology to ensure that high stakes matches are treated as such with regards to officiating and to ensure that the implemented VAR technology is allowed to be effective.

I DIDN'T CHOOSE ASTON VILLA....IT CHOSE ME... Featuring Jora and Aman Lally My name is Aman and my sons name is Jora, and we're Villa fans🦁 Originally from Birmingham but now living in Walsall. @AVFCOfficial #VillaChoseMe #UTV #avfc🦁 STORY1⃣0⃣9⃣ Here is my Villa story.... This is our story and how we became Villa fans. I started following Villa in the late 80s as a good friend of mine also followed the Villa. The first game I attended was at VIlla Park against Tranmere Rovers in the semi final second leg of the League Cup - and what a game to have as my first game! I introduced my son Jora to the Villa in 2016, when I purchased season tickets for both of us following our relegation to the championship. Jora is disabled (with 22q13 Phelan-McDermid Syndrome) which means he struggles with a lot of the everyday things we take for granted. He is non verbal so he has never been able to say he is a Villa fan. However, the more we went to watch Villa games, he started to enjoy the whole experience a lot more which also benefitted him with his own development and social interactions. Jora used to struggle to sit and take part in any activity for any given period of time due to his disability, but through going to Villa his attention span and capacity to sit and enjoy an activity increased and now it has become an enjoyable part of his life. Jora loves the outdoors so the idea of taking him to Villa Park for an outing was a no brainer and we haven't looked back since as we now follow Villa home and away each week. Whether the trip is to Villa Park or a long away day on the coach or train it has become a regular for us both and we've made so many new friends along the way on our 8 year journey as season ticket holders. For my day job I am a Maths teacher by trade and I have been fortunate enough to have taught/work at school with a number of the lads who are currently at Villa including Jamal Jimo-Aloba, Luka Lynch, Rico Richards, Lino Sousa, Morgan Rogers and Tim Iroegbunam who recently moved to Everton. As former students I always root for Morgan to take his game to the next level and for the others to hopefully make their breakthrough with the first team in the near future. It's very special for me as a teacher to see the students that I saw growing up at school are now becoming our heroes at the Villa!. For Jora's 18th birthday TIm got McGinn, Watkins and Ramsey to send Jora a special video birthday message and Emi also sent Jora a signed set of gloves for his birthday. This was an amazing gesture for Jora by Tim and the Villa boys and made Jora's birthday extra special. My favourite players from years gone by would include Paul McGrath and Dalian Atkinson. From the current crop, Emi Martinez, Ollie Watkins, John McGinn and Morgan Rogers are really up there for me at the moment, as was Douglas Luiz. We regularly travel with the Sutton Coldfield Villa (@SuttonVillans) for the away games and we are also part of the Punjabi Villans (PV) supporters group (@PunjabiVillans) and often meet up with the PV group for a mix grill and a few drinks. We have had a number of what I call favourite moments in recent years. The away wins at Man Utd in Sept 2021, at Spurs on New Years Day in 2023 and the win at Arsenal in April 2024. The recent home win against Bayern Munich in the Champions League also really stands out. The win at Luton away in March 2024 last season was really special for us as Tim and Morgan both came to see us and took photos with us after the 2-3 win at Luton and Tim gave his match shirt to Jora. Spurs away - Jan 2023: xitter.cf/amandiplally/status/16… Jora's birthday messages from the Villa players: xitter.cf/amandiplally/status/16… Jora's birthday present from Emi delivered by Tim: xitter.cf/amandiplally/status/16… Man Utd away - Sept 2021: xitter.cf/amandiplally/status/14… Arsenal away - April 2024: xitter.cf/amandiplally/status/18… That is our Villa story so far!!
