Tesla nav should have a trip history timeline like Google Maps. I left something at a previous stop and can't retrace where I came from. Cars are flying and we still can't see where we've been. @elonmusk

I usually don’t agree with a lot of things @SenWarren says, but on this one she is 100% correct. Private equity has destroyed SO many storied brands.

This is why the Slop Cannon is such an insanely powerful tool
AI that can nail scenes like this for $13.33/min is unbeatable
I had the idea for this and then the finished product in the same day
I've been playing around with video generation and... IT IS EXPENSIVE. Like $8 for 15s of unsalvageable garbage 720p draft.
I'm now very confused about the unit economics of all the slop out there... how is it worth to generate 20 min of video that gets demonetized anyway :|

NEW in @playbookdc: Ken Paxton in leaked audio vents over his campaign being run by DC:
“I don’t control message or what we’re doing”
“I’ve never been in a race where I felt less control over the campaign…it’s all coming — you know — from DC”

.@JamesTalarico on Texas officially banning THC:
“This bill is insane.
Texans aren’t going to stop smoking weed and eating edibles because politicians in Austin say so. Texans will still use THC — but instead of getting it safely from a local small business, they’ll go back to getting it from the black market. From the drug cartels.
This ban is a gift to the cartels.
We are now telling full-grown adults how to live their lives. This is the nanny state at its worst; this is big government at its worst.
Instead of fully funding our schools, guaranteeing healthcare, or making childcare more affordable — this Legislature is focused on banning a product that gives people a little peace.
We’re making people’s lives harder, not easier.
I want to leave you with a quote: ‘It is time to end needless arrests and incarcerations of adults for small amounts of marijuana for personal use.’ That wasn’t a Democrat. That was President Donald Trump.
To my Republican colleagues, I’m asking you to oppose the cartels, stand with President Trump, and vote no on this insane bill.”

Texas DPS and local police officers deserve better than to be tied up chasing you around for flower or gummies.
These guys joined to protect and serve Texans, not ruin your lives and waste resources.
Anyone know how much 3 meals a day at your county jail costs taxpayers?
Met a guy at a gas station who buys used Teslas, rents them on Turo, and clears $19,000 a month while doing absolutely nothing
He's never made a car payment with his own money. The renters pay the banks. He keeps the spread and the title
27 cars. Zero of his own dollars in the fleet
I watched him fill up a Model Y that wasn't even his daily driver. It was car #14 of 27 and it was heading to a pickup at the airport in 2 hours
Here's the full play:
He buys used Model 3s and Model Ys in the $28,000 to $38,000 range. These are the highest-demand vehicles on Turo because renters want to try a Tesla and tourists want something that looks good in photos. A $32,000 Model Y rents for $95 to $140/day depending on the city and season
Average booking rate in a strong market (Miami, LA, Austin, Phoenix, Nashville): 22-26 days per month. Call it 24
Revenue per car: $110/day average x 24 days = $2,640/month
Monthly costs per car:
Auto loan payment: $580 (60 months at 6.5%)
Insurance (commercial Turo + gap): $280
Cleaning between rentals: $120
Maintenance reserve: $100
Platform fees: Turo takes 25% of bookings = $660
Total monthly cost per car: $1,740
Net cash flow per car: $900/month
$900/month x 27 cars = 24,300gross.Afterhisvirtualassistant(2,200/month) and miscellaneous ($1,500): $19,000 to $20,000 net
How the funding works:
The down payments come from 0% business cards. A $32,000 Tesla needs $6,400 down (20%). He runs the down payment through a business card. The auto loan covers the remaining $25,600. Total credit card exposure per car: $6,400
6 cars per funding round at $6,400 each = $38,400 on 0% cards. The 6 cars generate $5,400/month combined in net cash flow. Cards paid off from car revenue by month 8. Then he applies for the next round of 0% cards and buys 6 more
He started with 4 cars in early 2024. Added 4 every 6-8 months. Now at 27 and his "job" is managing a VA in the Philippines who handles bookings, key exchanges, and cleaning schedules
"what about accidents"
Turo has a host protection plan that covers up to $750,000 in liability. He also carries a separate commercial auto policy. A totaled car on a 27-car fleet is a $3,000 insurance deductible and a Tuesday. He's had 2 total losses in 3 years. Both covered. Both replaced within a month from cash flow
The part that makes this a machine: auto loans are secured debt. They barely touch your revolving utilization. So while 27 car loans sit on his credit file, his revolving utilization stays under 5% because business cards don't report to personal credit. His score stays above 740. Banks keep approving him
he owns a rental car company funded entirely by banks and operated entirely by renters and he hasn't worked a real day in over a year lmfaooo
(we get 700+ score business owners 100K-250K in 0% business credit. what you buy with it is your business. link in bio)
