I was in class last week. One of my students raised their hand mid-lecture and asked something that stopped me for a second.
"Why is every AI tool built on Python? C++ is faster. Rust is faster. Even Java is faster. So why Python?"
Honestly it鈥檚 a fair question. And the answer reveals something really interesting about how the AI industry actually works.
Let me explain this properly. 馃У

If you鈥檝e tried to build an AI agent, you鈥檝e probably seen all of these names and wondered which one to pick.
Here鈥檚 what they actually do, and when you don鈥檛 need any of them 馃У

A deployment succeeded. Then production started throwing errors.
That is why I don't treat a green CI/CD pipeline as proof that a release is healthy.
After deployment, check:
Error rates compared with the pre-deployment baseline
p95 latency for critical endpoints
Failed requests and dependency timeouts
Pod restarts and readiness failures
Whether users can complete the critical workflow
If something breaks, you want enough evidence to decide whether to roll back or investigate further.
What's the first signal that tells you a deployment has gone wrong?

A Kubernetes deployment can succeed while your application is still broken.
kubectl rollout status tells you whether the rollout completed. It doesn't prove your users can successfully use the application.
After a deployment, check:
Are requests succeeding?
Has p95 latency changed?
Are error rates increasing?
Are pods restarting or failing readiness checks?
Are downstream dependencies healthy?
A successful rollout is one checkpoint, not the finish line.
What's your first check after a Kubernetes deployment goes green?

Now the part most tutorials skip.
If your agent uses one model and a few tools, you may not need a framework at all. The model鈥檚 own API plus about 50 lines of your own code can run the whole loop.
Frameworks earn their place when you have many steps, many agents, approvals, or state you need to save and resume.
