Day 07:Since we Last Met- A Pale Light in the Black was my first book by KB Wager (I loved!)?and since then I started an earlier series by them. Now to go back and reread both of these first books so I can continue on with the series #scifimonth2024
#scificmonth2024 Terminal Alliance was the recommendation, if nothing else it looks fun. It sounds like tbr Kraku really did come in peace but a plague turned humans feral and the Kraku saved the rest of humanity?
Iām not sure if I can take this serious āthat may be the point ?
Sitting outside with my dogs and reading. Beautiful fall morning. And listening to my neighbors chirp and make other weird noises at my dogs. And wonder why my dogs bark so much #dogsbark #letdogsbark #youreweird #impetty

My Spooky picks have been failing meā- I want something thatās gonna scare me and so far theyāve just been setting the scene or teasing but not really scratching that itch. So Iām gonna go read something seasonal and quick and then try again!

Lesson learned- do not trust @shopify or any of its stores. Itās designed to protect the seller not the buyer - even when the seller is fraudulent. You have to resolve the issue with the store or your payment processor.
I ended up DNFing I Was a Teenage Slasher, it had its interesting moments-but didnāt maintain my interest š„. Maybe Iāll give it another try later. I started this one and I think Iām glad I started this series with the novella first.

Another October pick! I randomly saw this at the library and thought spooky season would be the perfect time to read this- at least based on the cover it would be. Not sure what itās about, but Jones is someone I keep meaning to read more from.
