You may have seen a recent article that mentions KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS, speculating on the reasons for the change in publishing partners for PHYSINT.
Normally, we would not comment on unsubstantiated speculation on the internet, but these aspersions around our relationship with PlayStation, the commercial performance of the DEATH STRANDING franchise, and the broader production planning and investment for PHYSINT, have reached beyond the studio and have touched our fans, our creative partners, and colleagues we have worked alongside with for three decades.
None of the claims written came from any official or on-the-record source and as such we encourage you to take them with a dose of scepticism.
Make no mistake, this was a serious situation for the studio with a range of potentially significant implications. While we recognise that the article may have caused alarm, we want to reassure you all, for the record: that the studio is in a healthy, profitable state, development for PHYSINT continues to move forward with XBOX, and our relationship with PlayStation remains strong.

The NVIDIA driver workaround from Yahfz also improves performance in Gran Turismo 5 and reduces VRAM usage.
In an open-road test with an R7 9850X3D + RTX 3070:
- FPS: 107 to 147 (+37%)
- VRAM: 7.1 GB to 4.8 GB (-32%)
In SSR5 with an i9-12900K + RTX 5070:
- FPS: 60 to 67 (+12%)

Yahfz found a workaround for an @NVIDIA driver bug that was bottlenecking performance.
In this boat test scenario:
13900K + RTX 3080: +20% FPS
9800X3D + RTX 5090: +25% FPS
AMD GPU drivers do not have this bug, thus seeing no change.

The PS3's XMB can now launch games.
XMB (XrossMediaBar) is the PS3's iconic home menu. It's more than a launcher. It's part of the operating system that games actually communicate with.

Electronic Arts is officially a private company.
The $55 billion acquisition has been completed, with the company now owned by an investment group led by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), along with Silver Lake and Affinity Partners.
The deal takes EA off the stock market, making it one of the biggest acquisitions in gaming history.
EA says it will continue operating under CEO Andrew Wilson, and there are no announced changes to its studios or games.
