"octra's cabal abandoned vendor software, legacy primitives, and is writing everything themselves from scratch"
Replying to @octra
@octra took on the most ambitious task of all -combining heavy fhe crypto calculations directly in-state with an advanced virtual machine and making it decentralized, this is far beyond what I've seen in privacy space recently. they completely abandoned legacy cryptography and battle-tested chain engines like cosmos or evm, although judging by the latest news, none of this matters anymore. so many issues have been identified in many veterans of previous cycles at the consensus level - "great" teams are sitting on their knees at night patching everything, paying off their technological debts.
octra's cabal abandoned vendor software, legacy primitives, and is writing everything themselves from scratch. it's interesting to observe from the outside. even their webcli looks very nerdy, straight out of 2018. like it - it really stands out:

they have a cat coin
I haven't tried this yet, be safe with your clicks
I just tried buying $CAT on @octra, you can also simply connect your @0xio_xyz or Orion wallet. While waiting for the mainnet upgrade and network encryption features to be enabled.

fyi: the network has been upgraded, validators should apply the latest changes
- full net lifecycle (bond, exit and withdraw);
- new rules activate at epoch 1572000 (so pls upgrade before it);
- shared src compiler for the node and the amlc SDK (available separately for devs)
- faster install, tests optional (you can expand on them with your own);
- resource-based attestations have been implemented (enough with the pointless matrix multiplications, if we’re doing inference, let it actually be useful - private circle runtimes already allow this);
- HFHE computation paths are also part of the consensus for lite nodes and standart nodes;
- much and much more.
all activation rules are immediately applied to the mainnet and will be available without waiting (configs for access will be available after testing)

it's cute and simple
