Pani Olga w 29. tygodniu ciąży bliźniaczej trafiła do Uniwersyteckiego Szpitala Klinicznego nr 1 w Szczecinie z krwawieniem mózgu. Od tej chwili każda decyzja medyczna dotyczyła nie jednej, ale trzech osób jednocześnie. Lekarze rozpoczęli walkę o trzy życia.
Podjęto decyzję, by u mamy przeprowadzić zabieg embolizacji. Dwa stanowiska neonatologiczne, dwa inkubatory, zespół anestezjologiczny, położniczy i dwa zespoły neonatologiczne. Jak podkreślił kierownik zespołu, prof. Wojciech Poncyljusz, który przeprowadził zabieg, "skupialiśmy się na skutecznym leczeniu mamy, cały czas dbając o bezpieczeństwo dwojga dzieci."
I udało się! Mamę uratowano, ciążę udało się przedłużyć o kilka tygodni, a na świat przyszły zdrowe maluchy - Mila i Maks. Jeden pionierski zabieg, który uratował trzy życia na raz!
"To pierwszy opisany tego typu przypadek na świecie" - poinformował szpital. "Dzisiaj pozwolimy sobie powiedzieć to głośno: Jesteśmy DUMNI!!!" 👏👏👏
