#سوريا: أصدرت محكمة سورية اليوم حكمًا غيابيًا بالإعدام بحق الرئيس السوري السابق بشار الأسد، وشقيقه ماهر الأسد، وابن خالهما والمسؤول الأمني السابق عاطف نجيب، بعد إدانتهم بجرائم ارتُكبت خلال النزاع. ويشكّل ذلك أول حكم من هذا النوع يصدر عن السلطات الانتقالية في سوريا. ولكن لكي تطوي الحكومة حقًا صفحة أهوال الماضي، ينبغي لها إلغاء المحاكمات الغيابية، وإلغاء استخدام عقوبة الإعدام، وتجريم الجرائم الأساسية التي يشملها القانون الدولي في التشريعات الوطنية، وإجراء إصلاح قضائي شامل بما يضمن أن تحترم جميع الإجراءات القضائية ضمانات المحاكمة العادلة والقانون الدولي والمعايير الدولية بشكل كامل.
ويجب أن تشكّل ملاحقة المسؤولين قضائيًا عن الجرائم الفظيعة التي ارتُكبت خلال عهد الأسد خطوة مهمة نحو تحقيق العدالة وكشف الحقيقة وجبر الضرر لعشرات الآلاف من الضحايا. وينبغي أن تُجرى هذه الملاحقات أمام محاكم مدنية عادية، بمشاركة الضحايا ومن دون اللجوء إلى عقوبة الإعدام، وأن تندرج ضمن استراتيجية شاملة تتمحور حول الضحايا وتُنفَّذ على مستوى البلاد بأسرها، بما يكفل كشف الحقيقة وتحقيق العدالة وجبر الضرر.

Ankara's attack perpetrators haven't passed through our region as Turkish officials claim, and we aren't party to Turkey's internal conflict nor we encourage escalation.
Turkey is looking for pretexts to legitimize its ongoing attacks on our region and to launch a new military aggression that is of our deep concern.
Threat to target the region's infrastructure, economic resources, and populated cities is a war crime, the thing we have witnessed before.
We urge the guarantor parties and the international community to take appropriate positions to these frequent threats and to ensure peace and stability in the region.

تركيا تبحث عن ذرائع لشرعنة هجماتها المستمرة على مناطقنا وشن عدوان عسكري جديد، وهذا يثير قلقنا العميق.
إن استهداف البنية التحتية والمصادر الاقتصادية للمنطقة والمدن الآهلة بالسكان يعد جريمة حرب، وقد شهدناه سابقاً.

We are concerned about new Turkish threats which pose high risk on northern Syria. Any offensive will divide Syrians, create a new humanitarian crisis, and displace original inhabitants and IDPs. New escalation will also negatively affect our campaign against ISIS.

Turkey is using UAV to breach the airspace of NE Syria. It is targeting activists, administration personnel, and civilians. While the world is silent, Turkey can use drones to kill anyone it wishes to kill. This is a blatant breach to Turkey's agreement with Russia and the U.S.
