Today’s victory reminds me of the Thirukural:
which translates to:
“O my foes, stand not before my leader;
for many who did, have turned to stone today.”
Our leader Hon. CM @mkstalin has turned to stone all those who sought to undermine the democratically elected Government and has reaffirmed that the will of the people of Tamil Nadu is supreme!

I have written to the Hon’ble Prime Minister @narendramodi and the Honble Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare @JPNadda, urging their immediate intervention to reduce the qualifying percentile for admission to prevent 4068 medical seats from going vacant in the academic year 2026–27.
The exceptionally high qualifying cut-off this year, following the leakage of the answer sheet and consequential cancellation and re-conduct of NEET-UG 2026, has raised serious concerns. The Union Government must act within the applicable rules to ensure these seats are not left unutilised.

4,068 MBBS SEATS VACANT. INDIA CANNOT AFFORD TO WASTE A SINGLE SEAT!
At a time when India is already struggling to meet the WHO’s recommended doctor-to-population ratio, the reported vacancy of 4,068 MBBS seats at the beginning of the fourth round of NEET-UG 2026–27 counselling is a matter of grave concern.
The qualifying cut-off has risen exceptionally high this year, even as the NEET-UG examination had to be cancelled and reconducted because of a paper leak. Thousands of aspiring medical students risk losing an opportunity, while valuable medical college infrastructure, faculty and resources may go underutilised for an entire academic year.
Every vacant MBBS seat is a lost opportunity to train a future doctor.
I urge the Hon’ble Prime Minister @narendramodi to intervene immediately and direct the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare @JPNadda, in consultation with the National Medical Commission @NMC_BHARAT, to reduce the NEET-UG 2026 qualifying percentile across all categories to the extent necessary to fill the vacant seats, strictly in accordance with merit and applicable standards. After the fourth round, conduct a special stray vacancy round to ensure that eligible candidates get a fair opportunity before these seats lapse.
Students must not pay the price for an exceptional examination year. India’s medical education capacity must not go to waste when the country needs more doctors.
Hon’ble Prime Minister @narendramodi, the time to act is NOW!

The Hon’ble Supreme Court has time and again been the guardian of the people’s constitutional rights and has been instrumental in the development of the law. We may lose a case, but that does not give us a licence to abuse an institution, especially those of us wearing black robes. It has become a trend for people to attack the Supreme Court when they lose their individual cases. Remember, the Supreme Court is an institution and the highest bastion for the protection of fundamental rights. The integrity, reputation and independence of the institution cannot be sacrificed on the altar of an individual’s ego. The time has come for lawyers to come out in the open to protect our institution from hatred and abuse.
Abdul Majeed, please convey my best wishes to the young couple for a happy married life.
My son is getting married today. We kindly request all of you to pray for him and your best wishes

It is deeply painful that, even after 79 years of Independence, many SC/ST students studying in IITs, IIMs, NITs, and premier medical, law, and other professional institutions still dream of admission because of a lack of scholarships and unimaginable conditions therein. They face annual family-income ceilings of Rs. 8 lakh/Rs. 6 lakh “from all sources”, identical to upper-class EWS scholarships, to qualify under the Top Class Education Scheme for SCs and the National Fellowship & Scholarship for STs! Grave injustice.
How can an SC/ST family be considered financially capable of bearing the enormous cost of premier education merely because its annual family income crosses Rs. 8 lakh/Rs. 6 lakh, on a par with the EWS-like income test? Is that requirement contradictory to bringing marginalised sections into the mainstream? Is it fair to deny a deserving student scholarship support by mechanically counting income from all sources, including parental and agricultural income?
This is not reformative; it is regressive.
I urge the Hon'ble Prime Minister @narendramodi and the Government of India @Drvirendrakum13 to urgently revise these outdated ceilings and raise the scholarship eligibility ceiling to Rs. 25 lakh, based on the current Per Capita Net National Income (NNI) benchmark, so that deserving SC/ST students are not denied access to premier education because of an outdated income criterion.

Tamil Nadu has purchased the most expensive power in India at the rate of Rs 35 -37 per unit through power purchase agreements. Meanwhile, neighbouring states Kerala and Andhra Pradesh have concluded power purchases at about Rs 15 and 20 per unit, respectively. Advance planning to enter into power purchase agreements would have saved a lot of public money. But advance planning to cancel the DMK government's lower-rate purchase agreements, only to buy power later at astronomical rates of Rs 35-37 per unit, is a way to pocket crores of public money. The estimated loss runs into several hundred crores, and buying power at unprecedented rates could trigger massive financial strain. The fact remains that there is a multi-crore scam and corruption in power purchases. What, bro @CMOTamilnadu ?

The attempt of the Congress-led block to meet the Hon’ble CJI despite his letter regarding their own case before the Supreme Court is misguided and goes against the basic tenets of independence of judiciary.
No litigant can meet the judge who is hearing his case before the hearing and influence him for a favourable verdict. The law can’t be different for politicians. The administration of justice requires neutrality and detachment.
It is the right of opposition parties to protest against the Government but they shouldn’t drag the judiciary into the political arena. The Supreme Court must be left to function independently, free from pressure, access, or influence from any quarter. Any attempt to approach or browbeat the Court by exerting extraneous pressure on a pending litigation amounts to interference with the administration of justice.
The judiciary is the last bastion for the common man. Lay your hands off the Court. Focus it on your political opponents!
