I was given a coin today by a fellow veteran. It was the first time I've been coined in over 20 years. I didn't catch his name but I guess it takes one to know one. I believe God was working overtime for me today and put this gentleman in the right place at the right time.

It's great to watch them grow and succeed. Yesterday my youngest became an airman.

We had our first character trait assembly of the year. These 5 young people were nominated by their teachers as being the "Kindest" in the class.

I went back to RTHS on Tuesday to watch my daughter coa h volleyball. I was so happy to see a full student section. The Eagle Renaissance club started a movement last year and the fruits of their labors are showing. @J_Renaissance @drphilcampbell

I just saw a handful of little kids walking around the outside of our building hiding painted rocks. My heart is full today.

Fill in the blank! The No. 1 tip I'd give a new principal is _______. (Inspiration via leader @DrBradJohnson)
"New principals, here are 5 strategies to make a real and immediate impact next fall: 1. Foster open communication by active listening. 2. Build personal connections. Know your team well. 3. Show genuine empathy and offer support. 4. Involve staff in some decisions, seeking input and feedback. 5. Recognize and appreciate efforts regularly." —Leader Brad Johnson

Take a moment and enjoy the view. I get to look out of my windows and see cornfields and grain elevators. The labradoodle playing in the yard across the street yesterday was a bonus.
