WEARE, N.H. — Xi Van Fleet, author and outspoken critic of communism, endorsed Lily Tang Williams for Congress, citing their shared experience growing up in Chengdu, China, during Mao’s Cultural Revolution.
The endorsement comes as President Trump hosts Chinese President Xi Jinping in Washington today for a historic state visit.
“My friend Lily Tang Williams and I are both from Chengdu, China. We each lived through the horrors of communism and Mao’s Cultural Revolution,” said Van Fleet. “Today, however, we see the same evils we thought we had escaped being embraced and promoted by the radical Democrats.”
“But Lily isn’t standing by silently—she’s sounding the alarm. She’s running for Congress in New Hampshire and she needs all the support she can get to win.”
Williams welcomed the endorsement:
“Xi and I escaped communism and came to America because we understood how precious freedom is,” said Williams. “We recognize the warning signs because we have lived through them. I’m running for Congress to defend the freedoms that made America the greatest nation on Earth—and I’m honored to have Xi standing with me in that fight.”

For those of us who reported on the weak evidence and the ideological capture of WPATH and the major medical associations, these DOJ settlements are one of the Trump administration’s real achievements. They will spare many more children from a pipeline that leaves them as victims of a medical system run amok.
