Kudos Kudos!! This is more than a milestone, it's a proof of unwavering impact to the ecosystem. From completing a module to becoming a bitcoin-informed individual, builder, contributor and more.
30,000+ people have graduated from a @MyFirstBitcoin_ program or curriculum. We just crossed 100+ trained educators through the Educator Training Program. Since September 2021, that curve has only gone one direction. Here is what's behind it: a Bitcoin Diploma translated into 40+ languages, an Introduction to Bitcoin course that anyone can take for free, and an Educator Training Program that equips individuals to go teach it in their own communities, in their own language, to the people they know. The 100+ educators who have completed the ETP are not just graduates, they are multipliers. Each one has the potential to reach hundreds of students in communities that mainstream financial education has never prioritized. That is the model. And it is working. If you believe this kind of education should exist everywhere, you can help make it happen. Learn, teach, or support us at myfirstbitcoin.org/ 🧡⚡

5 years ago, our founder @jdennehy_writes planted something with one belief: people who control their own lives build a better world, and bitcoin education is how you get there. That belief now lives in 90+ communities, 40+ countries, 195+ educators. Same why. Sharper what and how. Onward⚡
Replying to @MyFirstBitcoin_
@MyFirstBitcoin_ began 5 years ago And what a wild half decade it’s been So many of the details have changed but the north star has always been that if individuals have more control over their own life it leads to a better world and that bitcoin education is a means to that end It has been a journey, with literal blood sweat and tears throughout. We’ve managed to kick quite a few hornet’s nests along the way which has been exhausting, even scary But the objective is to disrupt the status quo, so while specific manifestations have been surprising that they happened was always expected. Though knowing the theory and living the reality are very different things I’ve learned so much about myself and about the world on this journey The path forward continues to be rocky. Change comes from discomfort and ambition, it always has But that path is also as clear as it’s ever been Five years on and the why remains the same. Five years on and the what and the how come into focus Independent, open-source bitcoin education will change the world Onward!

Our tomatoes and cabbages are about 6 weeks old now. They are growing fast and healthy! We are building our community on #Bitcoin Build, Earn, save and spend locally till we achieve a self reliant Bitcoin circular community. One of our members is vying in the next election. Good evening from Bitcoin Chama! It has been over a month, time truly flies!🤠 Our vegetables are growing fast and healthy. Since our last update, we have done two sprays, one top dressing, and one weeding. Yesterday evening, members of the Chama gathered for the second weeding of the season. What could have been just work turned into something more sharing, laughter, joy, and catching up. It was a day well spent! And of course, we rewarded our members with some sats for the great work they did. Because in our community, every effort is valued in Bitcoin. This is what building a self-reliant Bitcoin circular economy looks like. Together. In joy. In sats. We keep building on Bitcoin. Also, check out our geyser page to support our campaign: #Bitcoinkwawote geyser.fund/project/bitcoinc…

What does independent Bitcoin education actually look like when it is impacting lives globally? 90+ communities, 40+ countries and 195+ Educators building all over the world. In this conversation, @PatrickKoerting and @quentin_ehr walk through how that happened, and do not skip the harder part: a full, honest look at where every dollar goes, and what it still takes to fund a network growing this fast. We think you should see it before you decide to be part of it. It is an honest look at where the network stands, including the parts still in progress. This week's Educators Network Spotlight is from Kibera, Nairobi Kenya. 🇰🇪 Susan Achieng, the founder of @Satsforsafari is one of the clearest examples of what the student journey can become in the MFB network. She completed the Bitcoin Diploma with @thecore21m , attended the Bitcoin Educators Unconference in Kenya, enrolled in and completed the My First Bitcoin Educator Training Program. Along the way she founded @Satsforsafari . One of the world's first Bitcoin walking tours; taking visitors through Kibera's Bitcoin circular economy to explore and spend sats at merchants' shops and stalls, hear directly from the people who have built the circular economy, and ensure they leave with a clear picture of what financial inclusion looks like in the Bitcoin circular economy that has been quietly growing inside Kibera since 2022. Additionally, last month she graduated her first Bitcoin Diploma cohort. "Kibera has long been defined by what it lacks. Sats4Safari was born to show a different story." — Says Susan Achieng, Founder This is what the student journey looks like when it is empowered by Independent, Impartial & Open Source Bitcoin Education. “Show the balance-sheet effect, not the headline number.” @Farida_N is right. Bitcoin projects in Africa should be judged by retained users, costs reduced, savings protected, and funding disclosed. Visibility is not adoption. Accountability is the price of credibility.
" If we truly believe Bitcoin can contribute to Africa’s future, then we owe this ecosystem the same standards we would demand anywhere else: real transparency, real accountability, real measurement, real communities, real adoption, real impact. Africa deserves better than serving as a backdrop for fundraising campaigns, and Bitcoin deserves better than becoming another industry where a compelling story generates more value than genuine transformation. If this ecosystem is to mature, it must rediscover its original purpose. The objective was never to build organizations that survive on Bitcoin. The objective was, and remains, to build an Africa that can thrive because of it." I just published The African Bitcoin Ecosystem Has a Credibility Crisis medium.com/p/the-african-bit…

📚Tonight, we explored Chapter 6: Notorious Nodes from Hijacking Bitcoin by Roger Ver & Steve Patterson (@steveinpursuit), and it sparked one of our most engaging discussions yet. We unpacked the chapter's arguments around Bitcoin scaling, full nodes, SPV wallets, miner incentives, decentralization, and how differing visions for Bitcoin shaped the blocksize debate. We also compared the authors' interpretation with broader perspectives from the Bitcoin ecosystem and reflected on why these conversations still matter today. As always, there were thoughtful questions, healthy disagreements, and plenty of learning. Thanks to everyone who joined and contributed. See you next week! 🧡

Let's take it back to when Abubakar Nur Khalil @ihate1999 , CEO of Btrust @btrustteam , shared Btrust's perspective on supporting Bitcoin developers and strengthening the ecosystem. His insights highlighted the importance of creating opportunities that help developers build with confidence. As we count down to #ABC2026, we continue to look back at the ideas and conversations that have shaped previous editions of the Africa Bitcoin Conference. #ABC2026 #Bitcoin #Africa

JUST IN: Online block explorer, @mempool, joins the Stratum V2 working group
We're pleased to welcome @mempool to the Stratum V2 working group! Their experience will help us standardize how miners who build their own block templates leave their mark on blocks in an open format that can be parsed and displayed on mempool.space.
