Crypto incentives can be used to deploy evals.
In @POKTnetwork we are creating a benchmark to test our distributed inference nodes while they are serving clients.
This is the first step towards an actor that will be validating models eval metrics, tracking them live on chain.
AI Evals
Problem: We need better ways to evaluate and compare AI models, particularly as agents become more common. Evals will inform the common framework and language with which we compare AI models, but there will not be one “correct answer”, so a plurality of eval suites and approaches is best.
Since evals by neutral third-parties are a public good, and because evals can be prohibitively expensive to run, the use of crypto primitives for eval crowdsourcing, incentivization, and verification should play a significant role in the growing field.
