Scott Pape with a lovely turn of phrase, and a very serious challenge to the PM on gambling ads. Come on, @AlboMP. Show a little ticker. Ban. Gambling. Ads. Now. (Source: Scott's email newsletter.)

Whatever you think of the government's NG and CGT changes, the reality is the 'Bank of Mum & Dad' is only ever open for some young people... not all. Inherited inequality is a growing problem and increasingly determining whether young people can afford shelter. That's... bad.

I ran for the Senate because I wanted to help make politics about people again - not multinationals, vested interests or party donors. And that's why our campaign to get a 25% gas tax matters. Public pressure has made politicians pay attention and we have to keep it up because it can help make sure in one of the wealthiest counties on earth (and biggest gas exporters in the world), more Australians actually feel the benefit of our gas exports. Head to ourgas.com.au to make your voice heard. thesaturdaypaper.com.au/news…

Anthony Albanese has signalled that he isn't taking the huge, bipartisan, national call for a gas tax seriously. What's funny about that is he is supposed to work for you, not gas companies. He doesn't take YOU seriously.

“Just do it, and stop the crap.” 💥🔥 You can see why gas giants are worried. When the guy who wrote the book on Australian tax reform calls for a 25% gas export tax this bluntly, it would be gross negligence for the government to ignore it. Thank you, Ken Henry. #auspol

The Shell Australia Country Chair just told the Senate committee that 6 or 7 gas companies have contributed $1 million each to fund a huge campaign against a gas export tax 🤯 and smaller companies have also contributed. Gas companies are spending millions to ensure Australians aren't paid a fair share for the export of our gas. Go to ourgas.com.au to help fight back against their propaganda.

Teacher: “What are the 3 branches of government?” Student: “Central Bankers. Pedos. The Military Industrial Complex.” Teacher: “That’s wrong.” Student: “I know. We really should abolish the entire thing and start over.”

Donald Trump says he is not very happy with Australia. I think I speak for many Australians when I say, who gives a shit?

It's not Trump we have to worry about, it's their systems and public servants that have allowed it.
Australia must end AUKUS now & develop an independent foreign policy. We simply cannot continue to be hitched to this unstable fascist in the White House & his growing list of war crimes.

Threatening a few with the lives of many. Sounds... Criminal
This is embarrassing, Delete it, President ⁦@realDonaldTrump⁩ - unless you want everyone to think you’ve lost your marbles.

When PM @AlboMP are we going to distance ourselves from the deranged orange lemon. THE STANDARD YOU WALK PAST IS THE STANDARD YOU ACCEPT. The standard trump sets on every level is not acceptable and makes us look complicit by neglect.

Hey @RichardMarlesMP, @SenatorWong, @AlboMP how are those shared values going?
Our president is a deranged lunatic and should clearly be removed from office. He’s only there because of Republican Members of Congress.

BOMBSHELL: Secretary of War Pete Hegseth accidentally tells the truth that the missiles used by Iran do not pose a threat to the United States. He says Iran's missiles "don't even range to the United States of America". So tell us, Pete, why did we start this war?🤔

Albanese had it all at his feet with a 94 seat election win and a totally defeated Coalition. Then his arrogance and stupidity kicked in and he backed the depraved Trump, Netanyahu and the Zionists to the detriment of Australia. He totally ignored the people who gave him his win.

Look, it's Jillian Segal and Mark Leibler - members of the current Labor caucus. I don't remember seeing them on my ballot paper - what electorates were they voted in from again?

What is causing the Prime Minister to repeatedly disobey the wishes of most Australians?
Only one in four Australians approve of the US-Israel war on Iran, and just a third have backed the federal government’s actions in sending a military plane and troops to the region, according to a new poll. #auspol theguardian.com/australia-ne…
