PMA’s September Business Condition Report was just released. This month, metalforming manufacturers have tempered their outlook:
57% of those surveyed predict no change in general economic activity in the next three months, while 19% forecast a decrease in activity.
“Expectations for incoming orders have softened, and ongoing uncertainty surrounding supply chains and trade policy continues to weigh on business planning. Relatively stable shipping activity and continued investment in the workforce underscore the resilience of our industry.”
