Talmage ran an art school in St Ives before moving to Chelsea. During WW1 he was an official war artist for Canada on the western front in France

We returned to @NT_SuttonHoo at the start of this week to return loaned Staffordshire Hoard objects to Stoke-on-Trent. It sounds like Swords of Warriors has been very successful and has brought the Staffordshire Hoard to thousands of people.
