Happy 80th birthday to my friend George W. Bush!
Your friendship—and that of your father and your entire family—has been one of the great gifts of my life. It has always reminded me that long before we’re politicians, we’re fellow Americans and, above all, human beings.
And for the next month, I’m especially grateful to finally have someone older than me! Wishing you many more years of good health, happiness, and friendship.
Our country is stronger when we remember that what unites us is greater than what divides us.

America has become the longest-lasting democracy in history in large part thanks to generations of immigrants who have brought their talents, hard work, and dreams to our country. I was honored to welcome Pedro, who will help us write the next chapter of our American story.

What do sausage making and legislating have in common? They can both be messy.

President Clinton and President Bush led the United States through some of the most challenging moments in U.S. history. Their legacies will endure through these aircraft carriers, which serve as formidable platforms dedicated to safeguarding our national security and strengthening our resolve to protect this Nation against any who would threaten our freedoms and way of life.@USNavy

Today, @USNavy named two future Gerald R. Ford-class aircraft carriers as the future USS William J. Clinton (CVN 82) and USS George W. Bush (CVN 83). Like their namesakes, these two future carriers, and the crews who sail them, will work to safeguard our national security, remind us of our history, and inspire others to serve our great republic.

STATEMENT BY PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH ON THE 2024 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION:
CRAWFORD, TEXAS — I congratulate President Trump on his election as 47th President of the United States of America, as well as Vice President-elect J.D. Vance and their families.
I also thank President Biden and Vice President Harris for their service to our country.
The strong turnout in this election is a sign of the health of our republic and the strength of our democratic institutions. Laura and I are grateful to the election officials, poll workers, and volunteers who oversaw a free, fair, safe, and secure election.
We join our fellow citizens in praying for the success of our new leaders at all levels of government. May God continue to bless our great country.

Violence has no place in America, especially in our political process. Hillary and I are thankful that President Trump is safe, heartbroken for all those affected by the attack at today’s rally in Pennsylvania, and grateful for the swift action of the U.S. Secret Service.

"In 2022 I had the opportunity to join the [@PLSprogram]... As a new immigrant to the U.S. The program provided me with a deeper understanding of America, from politics to community structure, from the education system to history. The program brought 60 leaders from diverse backgrounds under one umbrella and gave us the opportunity to network, share knowledge, and also eventually become family." – Mozhgan Wafiq Alokozai (@Mozhganwa), Founder and President, @Eagleonlineacad
