A democracy cannot fully represent its people when women remain underrepresented in the rooms where decisions are made. Women should have a place where political priorities are shaped, decisions are made, and opportunities are shared. Make room for more. Make room for women. #SpecialSeatsBill #MakeRoomForMore #InclusiveLeadership #Nigeria #PLAC

Five men have been arrested and remanded in Maiduguri, Borno State, for wearing T-shirts bearing the words “Tinubu Must Go.” The right to criticise those in power cannot depend on the approval of those in power. Section 39(1) of the Nigerian Constitution guarantees freedom of expression, including the freedom to hold opinions without interference. Nigerian authorities must stop criminalising political dissent and uphold every Nigerian’s right to express political opinions without fear of arrest or detention.

The door to leadership should not be closed to half the population. Women bring experiences, and perspectives from different professions to the decisions that shape our communities. Open the door. Make room for more. Vote for the Special Seats Bill. #specialseatsbill #makeroomformore #inclusiveleadership #nigeria #PLAC

The higher the political ladder, the fewer women we see. Women lead businesses, communities and public initiatives, yet their numbers shrink as political power increases. Where women choose to lead, the path to the top should not be closed to them. There is room for more. #specialseatsbill #makeroomformore #inclusiveleadership #nigeria #PLAC
