When your opponent’s nails are so good you have to check them out 💅😅
@mariasakkari & @DonnaVekic had to take a look at @miyukato1121’s nails before their doubles match in Singapore! 🫶

Will Zverev’s 16 ball bounces before second serves lead to a rule change? Finally this umpire, who miss managed Coco vs Laura Siegemund’s time clock a few years ago, gives Zverev a time violation.
With so many spectators having Am Ex radios in their ears inside Ashe Stadium, commentators can help manipulate the crowd to get them more involved.

Not a dry eye on Centre Court 🤍
Linda Noskova honors her late mother on the biggest stage.

Congratulations to Linda Noskova on winning her first Wimbledon title, one of tennis's greatest achievements. Congratulations to Karolina Muchova, too, on a wonderful tournament. Czech tennis is in terrific hands. Wishing both players every success ahead. 🚀
Navratilova and Noskova both 21 when they won their 1st Wimbledon singles title. The emotions of Linda remembering her late mom, then seeing Martina crying in Royal Box while thinking of Chrissie… also remembering Novotna. 😢🎾🙏

Heart. Desire. Belief.
After a stunning final on Centre Court, Linda Noskova is the 2026 Ladies' Singles Champion

Interesting ESPN has chosen two men and just one woman to call a Ladies’ final. The other day for women’s semis BBC had all female teams for both semi finals. Tomorrow will be all men calling men’s final. It’s a tough workplace for women. Great start for Noskova. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Many examples through the decades when hearing an on court interview from the losing player would be great for tennis. If Fery goes onto lose, I wish he could have the option to speak to Centre Court ticket holders and television viewers around 🏴 and 🌎. @Wimbledon @bbctennis

This piece by @MattFutterman – At Wimbledon, Karolína Muchová and Linda Nosková build on a Czech tennis legacy — is tennis writing at the highest level.
It's also, sadly, a reminder of how there are few outlets left who invest in covering the tours to produce this kind of written work.
I don't know how much longer these kind of pieces will be produced by American media outlets.
