The future of AGI is going to make life feel like one of those old roblox tycoons where we just walk from button to button.
"Unused online matchmaking"
Aw you're so close Nintendo, you want Pikmin to be this big series that people play but cheap out at the last second and cut significant features that would give the series the push it needs.
Money is all that matters until your important family members start passing away and then you realize that money is really just a tool to guarantee access to healthcare and that you can spend time with family without worrying about debt or struggling with bills. Lol
Reflecting on this San Jose RDC trip:
- Everything is dependent on money
- No one gives a fuck about you, and they shouldn't
- Getting into rooms gets you far until money stops you from entering the room
- RDC will not magically give you the keys to the front page just by having a conversation
- Everyone expects you to already have money
- Oh, and did I mention -
Everything in this life is dependent on money.
Money is the only thing that matters until you have it.
I already knew this. Just a reality check.
So this is the trick that many Roblox modelers gatekeep to make their trees and foliage look realistic and not like a bunch of intersecting planes. Never learned this until now.
An important step in my 3D plant/tree asset creation is transferring normal data from something like this sphere onto my plant normals.
This basically tells the leaves how they should react to light. Instead of every flat leaf catching light separately and looking harsh or obviously like a bunch of planes, they shade more like one rounded clump. It gives it all a softer, fuller look and helps hide the individual leaf cards.
I should clarify for some people that the reason I've only learned this now is because I never had the need to use this solution, so I never looked for it. But I did ask about it before years ago out of curiousity, and got denied an answer.

If the front page of Roblox becomes nothing but doomscrolling dopamine toddler farms
Then Roblox is fucking doomed as a platform
And it deserves to crash and burn

I don't join developer servers or adjacent ones anymore because you'll get into an argument with someone and they'll right away ask you to compare incomes or achievements. Reality hasn't hit you yet if that's how you judge people.
