Despite cure or TB treatment completion, over 45% of post TB patient still present with cough, difficulty in breathing, chest pain, wheezing, cardiovascular issues
According to @BMudarshiru Abstract on Post Tuberculosis Lung Disease the cohort reveals a high burden of #PTLD. Lack of access to care, severe symptoms at diagnosis correlate with PTLD devt. Additionally, 57% of subjects exhibited fibrosis on CXR after TB microbiologic cure.
