Incredibly proud of Austin today, we may of lost 3-0 but he was not at fault for any of the goals 👌
🗣️15 weeks to the day of Austin having his stroke he will be making his debut for Thetford Town FC U14’s!
15 weeks ago exactly we brought you the tragic news that 14 year old Austin had major stroke after a game, his future was uncertain and his prognosis unclear.
What was certain was Austin's incredible attitude and determination to do what he loves again, 15 weeks of recovery and physio have culminated in the big man's return. Dr's have said he’s a long way off a full recovery and is possibly about 85% fit but he wants to get back between the sticks, he will be wearing a head guard as protection in all games as a precaution.
Austin's parents would like to thank the football community for the support you have all given Austin during this part of his life.
Welcome back Austin ❤️
