haven't had time to digest the fact that the Timberwolves seem to have lost a player in free agency to the Kansas Jayhawks
Bill Self was asked if adding Trey Kaufman-Renn makes him a 'disruptor' 👀 "Disruptor? If we don't play with them, we're gonna play against them. All I want to do, within the guidelines of what's been set: how do we get our best team together? That's it. There's no disruption."

Critical extension for the Thunder to lock in Wallace ahead of restricted free agency next summer -- now having their starting five all under contract for several years. Wallace led the NBA in total steals and deflections last season and has ranked third in steals per game in each of the last 2 seasons, per ESPN Research. He now steps into a starting role with a new extension.
Just in: Oklahoma City Thunder All-Defensive guard Cason Wallace has agreed to a five-year, $139 million rookie-scale contract extension, agents Jeff Schwartz, Max Lipsett and Marcus Monk of Excel Sports Management tell ESPN.

The early-mid 90s NBA was defined by promising young cores breaking up way too soon. This was a big one.

answer to this changes year to year, but pulling for Jokic when he isn't facing the Wolves feels pretty constant.

Another Jon K. classic. Love this quote from Tim Connelly about how he sees his job. nytimes.com/athletic/7685060…
Since he arrived in Minnesota, no executive has been more active than Tim Connelly. Fueled by Baltimore swagger and Catholic guilt, he has remade the Wolves over and over in pursuit of the title he left behind in Denver. (Free read) nytimes.com/athletic/7685060…

I hope I look really stupid with this in a few weeks but through 3.5 preseason games, I am concerned about Ant's athleticism. He has shown no burst or lift yet this preseason. He's not getting by the defender and it doesn't look like he can elevate, especially not quickly.
