WAGS (Wiltshire, Avon & Somerset and Gloucestershire Retired Police Dogs) raised £11,000 on Saturday 20th August at HQ. 25 brave volunteers, including Nikki Watson (DCC) and Alex Lovell (BBC) and our own PD Fred with handler Nick Dalrymple, abseiled down the Comms tower.
PD Ash’s crew mate in action yesterday 🐕
Nobody briefed “Fred” the search dog - he’s was going to be raised - then lowered 🤣🤣😆🐶👍🏻 @999WAGS @ASPolice @ASPoliceDogs see @ASPoliceHorses you can’t do this 🤣🤣🤣😆🤷🏻♂️
PD ash’s crew mate Fred the spaniel will be participating in this fundraising event 🐕
Good news the Abseil Event will go ahead on Saturday at @ASPolice HQ. Alex @alexlovelltv with 24 of our fearless volunteers will be taking part. Unfortunately due to the location change members of the public won’t be able to go & watch. We will broadcast on social media 🐾🐾

With the predicted extreme heat this week, please take particular care of your beloved dogs during this time. Remember - Dogs can be at severe risk if left alone in cars. Also, avoid walking them on hot pavements as this can burn their pads. Keep them hydrated and in the shade.

I’m so sorry. Losing our best friends is bad enough but he was also a work mate and protector. 💔

It's with a heavy heart that we have to announce the very peaceful passing of RPD Bear. Bear was handled between 2012-18 & mainly served in the Bristol area as part of a GP & TFSD team. He retired to a lovely family who gave him such a wonderful retirement. Run free Bear 🐾🐾
Ash’s stablemate Aden is chilling this week
RPD Aden is relaxing in his accustomed position as everyone else watches #Wimbledon The look on his face says it all! We don’t think he is a tennis fan 🎾 😂 🐾🐾
Well done to you both - A great achievement 🤜🤜
Huge Congratulations PD Rebel & his Handler PC Oxnard who won overall at the 60th National @PoliceDogTrials, held in Cirencester

The NFRSA is amazing opportunity for our beloved friends to be cared for in retirement when they’ve given so much to us and kept us safe.
The Boss met some legends at the 60th National Police Dog Trials including RPD Aden, National Champion in 2013. Aden is 12 years old. He now mainly lives on the sofa, and sleeps by his Dads bed every night. Aden thinks we should all support #TheNFRSA

We couldn't be prouder of @ASPoliceDogs PD Ash, who was named 'top dog' at the SW & Wales Regional Police Dog Trials at the weekend.
The clever canine was put through his paces with challenges that tested skills in tracking, obedience and agility.
