Is MAP push beneficial in trauma patients with spinal cord injury?
I always love that debaters on both sides cite the same paper.

Carrie Valdez and Babak Sarani debate the use of laparoscopy in trauma...sure it makes sense for some, but does it make sense for every patient? How do you decide? Are we underusing? Overusing? @PCounterpoint @Mdcotcom #acspcp2025

Tourniquets save lives in trauma. Very lopsided debate at #acspcp2025. Excited to peer review incoming paper submission to TSACO @TSACO_AAST.
Captain Polk sets the stage with the PRO side for tourniquets for extremity injury. Main point = they save lives when used correctly! #acspcp2025 @PCounterpoint @Mdcotcom

Unpopular but necessary: Trauma Video Review is far from validated. Consent in critical scenarios is ethically tenuous, and data consistently shows limited trust from patients. If it’s truly safe and effective, why is transparency still optional? It also fails to simulate real-time decision-making under pressure—the very essence of trauma care. Playback isn’t performance. The field needs better evidence, clearer ethics, and fewer assumptions.
Should we use Trauma Video Review?
Of course. What’s the debate?

We all agree that trauma centers save lives. But, does EVERY injured patient need trauma center care?
Is telemedicine the answer???
